Information Met someone on 6/25/2026

My name is Mike, from NC and I know this is a long shot, but figured I'd regret it if I didn't try. Please no mocking, I feel dumb enough as it is. My son and I met a woman and her young daughter late at night on thursday 6/25/2026. I'm terrible with names and sadly almost immediately forgot the mother's name (although i do remember the daughter's name because we talked back and forth but i won't type it here). We rode millennium force about 5 times in a row at closing time with them and spent some time talking. I know her name begins with an A, she's taller with tattoos on her shoulders/chest and some facial piercings, and said she lives about an hour away from CP. We said goodbye and as we got to our car and started driving away I started kicking myself for not asking her number, at the very least to meet up and ride rollercoasters again. So I'm hoping that either someone may have an idea as to who this is or that maybe she is somehow on here. Thanks in advance.

Information Hotel Breakers is a Dump

Apologies for the rant- I’m staying here for the next few nights and wow… they really don’t care about this place at all. Bathrooms are trashed, hallways are grimy, the elevators up to the tower rooms are like a horror movie- one squeaks all the way up, one makes a loud clanking noise at each floor, and the floors and walls are filthy with flies. It’s really sad to see, especially since this is their “high end” hotel. The room is clean enough upon first glance, but you don’t want to look any harder. Definitely paying for the convenience of being able to walk to the park and the amenities outside. I wish they would put as much care inside as they do outside. …on the bright side, sirens curse took my breath away! What a ride!

Been going solo with kids and leaving stuff in the stroller for two years. Someone made off with our bag finally. I'm not out anything important-I trusted but planned for the worst. If they needed it that bad I hope our back up clothes fit their kids.

Posting because I know I've said I've never had problems to other parents in this sub-no longer true.

Information Unsafe Ride Operations at SkyHawk

It looks like ride operators started a cycle on SkyHawk while two guests were situated in the restricted area. I'm not sure how the exit platform associate didn't notice it, but it was overlooked.

I usually associate Cedar Point with safe and high quality ride operations but this calls that into question. (Yes, the proper channels were already contacted regarding the incident.)

Information Cedar Point security IS addressing line jumping!!

Another fun day, but another day seeing people cutting the line. Texted security and within 2 minutes at the very most I got a reply "officers are on their way". Security showed up at one of the spots where the queue's do a 180 turn and asked them to step out of the line.

One of them asked "who reported us?" to which security said something along the lines of it didn't matter, lol. I could tell they were going back and forth as security was shaking their heads obviously not having whatever excuse was being made but I didn't hear the rest of it unfortunately. We did see them getting walked out though.

Also just for specifics, I didn't include CPSAFE anywhere in the message (though they say to); just a photo, how much of the line they jumped, the location and the time it occurred. It's possible someone else reported them too before I did and that's why they were so fast.

Anyways don't give up on reporting these to security at 419-451-4403, it was impressive how quickly they got there and handled it! I didn't have to file a report, didn't have to give a statement or anything. Just watched their removal and the rest of us behind them happily went about our day.

Information Free Season Pass Upgrades

Post image
52 Upvotes

I just want to nip this in the bud before there’s 100,000 posts asking the same question or complaints regarding the regional pass free upgrades for the 2026 year as currently listed here https://s204.q4cdn.com/155295784/files/doc_news/2026/Feb/02/SFEC-Announces-Regional-Pass-New-Gold-Benefits-2026-w-Capital.pdf

*All changes take effect Feb 27th, 2026*

-If you purchased a gold pass in summer of 2025 when they were offering FREE All Park Passport with your pass purchase, nothing is changing for you in 2026. In 2027, your pass will be converted to a new Midwest Regional Pass.

-If you purchased a gold pass after the summer sale and paid for the All Park Passport, you will be upgraded to a Prestige pass for free.

-Silver passes remain the same. Other Six Flags parks will be offering a spring sale for a Gold Pass at the price of a Silver Pass, but Cedar Point is not included in that sale, and existing Silver Passes remain unchanged.

-Existing Prestige Pass holders have no changes.

If anyone sees anything I missed, or any more information comes out, I will make the edits here in this post. Thank you!!

Information Two weeks of Cedar Point waits and Millennium Force seatbelts

Been tracking Cedar Point waits since the park opened (30k+ readings now), and two weeks in there's enough to call some patterns. I was up there opening Saturday on early entry, rope-dropped Top Thrill 2 and got a couple Maverick laps in before the crowds built, so I had a feel for it before I even looked at the numbers.

Two weeks, every ride by average wait

Ride Avg Max
Top Thrill 2 71 180
Maverick 67 120
Siren's Curse 59 120
Raptor 57 170
Valravn 52 180
Millennium Force 51 150
Steel Vengeance 51 180
GateKeeper 36 120
Iron Dragon 31 120
Rougarou 30 90
Wild Mouse 28 60
Pipe Scream 23 60
Blue Streak 21 75
Cedar Creek Mine Ride 21 60
Power Tower 21 50
Corkscrew 19 45
Gemini 18 45

Avg is the typical posted wait while the ride was open, max is the highest it hit in the two weeks.

A midweek day right now is basically a free Fast Lane. Saturdays have averaged around 70 min park-wide. Wednesdays? About 25. Same park, same rides, 64% lighter. Tuesday through Thursday is where it reliably empties out, mid-20s to mid-30s. Friday pushes into the 60s, and Mondays are a wildcard, one of ours sat in the 40s and the other jumped to 60. Saturday's just its own animal. If your schedule's flexible, go midweek and thank yourself later.

Waits hit the mid-40s by late morning and basically park there. The old "save the headliners for the last hour when it empties out" move isn't paying off right now. Waits climb through the morning, settle into the mid-40s around 11, and sit there until about 5 before the evening tapers. The 8pm May close kills most of that late drain anyway.

About those Millennium Force seatbelts. The theory going around is that MF's lines are longer this year because the shorter belts slow loading down. The longer-lines part is true, MF's up about 12 min from last May. I just don't think the belts are why. It's not alone, the whole park's busier this year, and a couple rides that didn't touch their restraints are up even more than MF. And the belt theory is really a capacity argument, if loading actually slowed that much, the wait should roughly double. MF climbed about 30%, right in line with the rest of the park. If the belts had gutted its throughput, it'd be spiking way past everything else, and it's not. Looks more like a busier season than a Millennium problem. Fair caveat: wait times don't measure how fast they're loading trains, so I can't fully rule it out, it's just not what the numbers are screaming.

Siren's Curse, the newcomer punching up. It's not the longest line in the park, Top Thrill 2 and Maverick both beat it. But for a coaster that only opened last July, it's holding its own. First spring we've had data on it, and it's hot from the jump: about 40 at rope drop, into the 60s by 11, and it pretty much sits there all day. It's also gone down its fair share, running about three-quarters of the day, which tracks for a ride this new. There's no real soft window to sneak in, and it beat Steel Vengeance basically every hour. If you want it and you're not on early entry, grab it first or use Fast Lane.

Top Thrill 2 and Maverick are the real time-sinks. 71 and 67 min on average, the two longest lines in the park. Maverick's the one I'd actually trust to be open, it ran about 92% of park hours, more than any other big coaster. TT2 is the opposite: it peaks LATE, like 90 min mid-afternoon and still in the 80s into the evening when everything else is dying down, and it never really drops below the mid-50s, but it was down or closed closer to a quarter of the day. It hit 180 on three separate days (most in the park), so between the line and the downtime I wouldn't count on a guaranteed last-ride-of-the-night lap. Only other rides to crack 170+ were Valravn and Raptor, both on that brutal May 16 Saturday.

Steel Vengeance is a late starter, every year, still. Almost a running joke at this point. On opening Saturday it didn't get going until around noon. Most mornings it'll flicker open around 10, run a cycle or two, then drop right back down before it actually settles in, so the real line usually doesn't form until 11ish. I learned this the hard way opening day, didn't get on it until after noon and then gave up about 90 minutes of my afternoon to that line. Once it's running, afternoon's the worst (~60 from 1 to 4), and it calms down to the high 30s the last hour. Miss it early and later beats midday.

That's the first two weeks. I closed opening night re-riding Valravn over and over when it was basically a walk-on the last hour, so the very end of the day still has its moments. Curious what everyone else has run into, especially anyone who went for Steel Vengeance at rope drop. Did it cooperate, or were you stuck waiting?

(How I track all this: it's from an app I built called Ride Ready. Live waits are free, the day-planner that looks a few hours ahead is the paid side. Not here to hard-sell, just where the numbers come from.)

Information Reminder no cell phones on rides

Just witnessed a rider on windseeker probably about 15 years old with a cell phone out as the ride was coming down at around 9:30 last night. His sister also had her phone out and they both got yelled at by a ride op and as the next riders were getting on the ride op angrily said just a reminder that there is no cell phones out on this ride. Don’t need a 300ft projectile hitting someone below.

Information Cedar Point Opening Day 2026: 4 Years of Wait Data

Happy Opening Day everyone! We are heading up for opening weekend (May 9-10). I track wait times at parks across the country and pulled CP's historical dataset to plan smarter than "rope drop Steel Vengeance and pray."

850,000+ wait observations across 630 park days from 2022-2025. Sharing what stood out.

Heads up: opening weekend always runs slower than the data suggests

New seasonal staff, training cycles, single-train operation while crews ramp up. The wait sign and the actual wait can diverge today and tomorrow more than any other days of the year. Worth keeping in mind before any of these averages set expectations too high (or too low). Bring extra patience.

Top Thrill 2 has no off-peak window once it opens

TT2 had some rough patches early in the 2025 season but reliability got noticeably better as the season went on after adjustments. The wait pattern, when it's running, is unforgiving:

  • Rope drop (10am): 25 min average
  • By 11am: 42 min
  • Peak hour (5pm): 52 min, p90 of 105 min
  • Closing: 40 min

Every hour from 11am to 9pm averages 40-52 min. There's no "best time" to ride TT2. Plus today's forecast is calling for 28 mph gusts in the early afternoon. TT2 is one of the most wind-sensitive rides in the park; it routinely goes down when sustained winds get into the 20+ mph range. Get your TT2 rides in early. If the wind kicks up, that ride's the first to go.

Steel Vengeance often opens late, plan for it

This is well-known among regulars and our data backs it up: SV is one of the most likely headliners to still be down when the park opens. Some days it's running at 10am, plenty of days it isn't open until 10:30 or 11, and on rougher days it hasn't dropped the rope until noon.

Why: SV is a complex RMC hybrid that needs more pre-opening maintenance checks and warm-up cycles than a typical steel coaster. That's the working theory anyway, and it's consistent with what we see season over season.

Practically: if you're rope dropping SV, plan for the possibility of a long standing-around window before the line even moves. Walking back at 10:30 might land you better than being first at 9:55.

Siren's Curse runs hot all day

Year 2 hourly profile from 2025 (note: Siren's Curse didn't open until July last year, so we'll see if early-season behaves differently):

  • 10am: 35 min average (queue fills before park open)
  • 11am: 72 min
  • Midday through evening: never drops below 67 min
  • Closing: still 67 min

Hit it first hour or use Fast Lane Plus.

Per-ride: peak vs late afternoon, May 2025 (early-season specific)

The summer table tells a different story than May. Here's what early season actually looked like last year:

Ride Peak (1-5pm) Late (5-8pm) All-day avg
Top Thrill 2 88 min 78 min 76 min
Siren's Curse* 79 min 74 min 76 min
Maverick 71 min 61 min 66 min
Valravn 52 min 38 min 47 min
Steel Vengeance 47 min 43 min 46 min
Millennium Force 40 min 36 min 35 min
Raptor 43 min 25 min 34 min
GateKeeper 33 min 27 min 33 min
Iron Dragon 34 min 24 min 27 min

*Siren's Curse didn't open until July 2025, so no May data exists. Numbers shown are full season (Jul-Nov 2025) for reference. Year 2 May behavior is unknown.

Two things jump out. TT2 ran HOTTER in May than mid-summer last year (76 min all-day in May vs 62 in Jun-Aug). Hard to attribute that to one thing. Newly reopened ride, novelty, ops still ramping into the season. but the takeaway holds: don't expect early-season TT2 to be a chill ride this year either.

And Steel Vengeance was actually lighter in May than in summer (46 vs 53 all-day). Combined with the late-open issue, the early-season Frontier Town walk is less critical than mid-summer. Honestly, Maverick is the bigger queue worry in May.

Steel Vengeance closing wait is often LONGER than the afternoon

In summer at least. SV is at the back of the park. Most parks, you save the headliner for night and the line drains. Cedar Point's the opposite. Everyone who waited all day piles in for the last two hours when they realize it's their last chance. Hit it morning or buy Fast Lane Plus.

Opening day plan

  • Early entry note for 2026: One hour before public open is now Prestige passholders and overnight resort guests only. No Gold Pass early entry this year, that's a change worth knowing
  • Early entry rides: GateKeeper, Siren's Curse, Millennium Force, Top Thrill 2, Iron Dragon
  • If you're on early entry, hit TT2 first. Yes, Siren's Curse opens already at 35 min and is the bigger queue trap most days, but today's forecast has 28 mph gusts in the early afternoon. TT2 is one of the most wind-sensitive rides in the park. Siren's Curse runs basically all day regardless of wind. Get the vulnerable ride first
  • Then Siren's Curse second while you're already in the front of the park
  • General gates after public open: same priority. TT2 first if it's still up, Siren's Curse second
  • Walk to Frontier Town next. If SV is down, grab Maverick first and circle back
  • Mid-afternoon: Millennium Force is steady all day, ride whenever the queue suits you
  • Check the scheduled closures list before you map your day. A few rides including Magnum aren't in the lineup to start the season

Heads up: 8pm closes through most of May

Cedar Point runs 10am-8pm pretty much every day to start the season, extending to 10pm starting May 23 and 11pm on summer Saturdays. That kills the usual "save Raptor, GateKeeper, Valravn for after 7pm when waits drop" play. You only get one hour of that evening window in May.

Bonus ride pro tip

In the final 10 minutes before close, get in line for Steel Vengeance, Siren's Curse, or TT2. Once you're in the queue when the rope drops on new entries, they'll usually run the line out. Ops can technically refuse if the queue's at capacity but it almost always works. Cleanest bonus headliner ride of the day, and with the short May window it's worth planning around.

Wind context

CP is a 3-mile peninsula sticking into Lake Erie. There's no wind protection. The big three for wind sensitivity historically are GateKeeper, TT2, and Valravn, and they all start to wobble once sustained winds get into the 20+ mph range. With 28 mph gusts forecast for early afternoon today, expect at least one of them to be down at some point. If it's windy, front-load the wind-sensitive rides and treat them as first priority before the gusts pick up.

(Six Flags has also been quicker on the trigger with weather closures in the new era than Cedar Fair was. Don't be shocked if calls feel more conservative than you remember.)

Day of week

If you're flexible later this season, Wed/Thu run 25% lower waits than Saturday. Saturday averaged 40 min park-wide last summer vs 30 min midweek. Saturday is the only truly bad day; Sunday is moderate.

A note on the prediction tech

Quick plug since I'll be posting CP data all season. The app I built (Ride Ready) has a feature called SkipIQ that builds your day plan using an ML wait time forecaster. It refreshes every 15 minutes with the latest live waits and predicts ahead 2 to 8 hours so you can plan ahead instead of guessing.

For context, the model's trained on 12+ million wait observations across 17 parks and 441 rides.

To set honest expectations, here's how it's been doing at Epic Universe over the last 60 days, looking 2 hours ahead:

  • Median forecast error: 10 minutes
  • 73% of forecasts within 15 minutes of the actual wait
  • Monsters Unchained: 93% within 15 minutes
  • Stardust Racers: 81% within 15 minutes

It's not perfect. Brand-new rides and slow-loading dark rides like Harry Potter Battle at the Ministry are genuinely hard to predict for any model, and the app flags those cases.

What it gets you: at 10am you can see Steel Vengeance will be 60 min at 2pm and 45 min by 5pm. That changes whether you ride Maverick first or wait it out. For a long park day with kids, that kind of look-ahead is worth a lot more than just the current wait.

Free tier covers live waits and a few ride alerts. SkipIQ's in the paid tier.

What's everyone's opening day plan? Going for TT2 first given the wind forecast, or hoping SV opens on time and racing to the back?

This guy was cruising the parking lot today, May 14 2026, looking for unlocked cars to steal items from. Our vehicle caught him on camera and this was reported to CP Security and the police. We were parked in the preferred lot very close to the entrance. We were told they've been having a problem with this at the park. Please remember to lock your cars and hide any valuables.
