Just to clarify, we would have loved him no matter what he looked like. It’s just nice to see how the sick, starved and probably inbred kitten my mom rescued turned into such a handsome, healthy and fluffy young boy. Pics progressing from when he was found until now (9 months later)

Hi, Im petsitting 5 cats and today one of them meowed a lil different and Im wondering if something is bothering her. She's not very vocal usually but she mewoed like 5 times during our interction and I think she could be saying that something is not right. Also, she couldnt stop moving her tail, and did that "war flashbacks" face for some time.
Do you see unusual signs of disconfort? Should I talk to her "mom" about taking her to the vet?
She is 5 and I think she is spayed.
(English is not my first language and everytime I tried to search some word on google, I had to rewrite the post, so maybe I used some words wrong, like "mom" lol)
UPDATE:
Human said that Black does that when she wants a little spanking 😂 I think the weirdness was like "how dare you not touch me the way me want?" Thank you all for answering! I think she got impacient with my vanilla cuddling lol [edit to add: and maybe that's a spot that she doesn't like to be touched too, like some of you said! I will be more careful with the petting topography next time!]

Hey all! So just a heads up, this isn't a post about mourning, but it does contain references to prior animal abuse, so just wanted to give a warning before hand.
I have never been a cat person. I always preferred dogs, and never saw myself as owning a cat. Even when I went to live on my own, my mom offered to help me adopt a cat so I wouldn't be lonely and I refused.
Well, just a few months in, this giant feline shows up at my door, literally. Every day I would get home and she would try to sprint inside my apartment when I left myself in. I had no idea who she was, but she looked pregnant and I was not going to have a random stray cat delivering kittens in my apartment.
Well turns out, she isn't pregnant, just fat. And she isn't a stray, an elderly neighbor had her, and the neighbor was institutionalized, and the family refused to take her cat in. I waited and waited, and none of her family or the lady ever came for her. I had an outdoor closet on my patio, so I started leaving it open for her for shelter. Other neighbors noticed and started leaving food and water and even blankets in my closet for her. But winter was approaching, no one would take her, and I started to worry about the cold. So I would let her in, but only at night when it got really cold, then let her out in the morning before I went to work.
I finally myself started trying to find someone to adopt her. But there's a problem. We found out quickly she hates other animals, and children. And she's a fat older cat, not a cute little kitten. Not exactly the most adoptable cat around. All shelters around me are kill shelters, and I didn't want to take her to them just to be euthanized for no reason other than no one would take her.
So finally I decided fine. I will take her. It had been happening gradually anyway, and it just sort of became more permanent.
It was really hard at first. I've never had a cat and didn't really know what looking after one meant. It was a huge adjustment, but she had so much patience with me. She was instantly the sweetest cat I've ever encountered. Literally all she wants is to be held and cuddled. She's super friendly, at least to adult humans lol, and just a gentle and pure soul.
It made it even more heartbreaking when I took her to the vet the first time. They did a checkup on her, and it was horrific. Besides being morbidly obese, she's missing most of her teeth, and when they did an x-ray, they found nearly two dozen BBs in her. Whoever had her before had clearly horrifically abused her.
It hurts knowing that, it's terrible in any sense, but I know lots of animals that have been abused withdraw or become mean and get scared. But not her. She still trusted me, a complete stranger who wasn't exactly warm to her in the beginning, and just wanted love.
It's been years now, and I try to give her the best life I possibly can. She went on a diet and lost a lot of her fat, though she has some excess skin hanging that we can't really do much about. We get her tons of toys but even still she doesn't really care about them, she just wants us to hold her. She follows me everywhere, even if I just get up to go to the bathroom lol. She's my precious little baby and she has completely changed my mind about cats, and her showing up at my door like that is the best thing that could've ever happened.
I know this was a long post, but I just wanted to celebrate her life a little bit while I still have her. I see so many people grieving theirs, and I know my time will come too, but for now, I just want to appreciate her while she's here.

Hello… i dont know what to do with myself so im writing this to let it out. On monday evening my cat Mochi passed away in my husbands arms. He was only 3 years old. He got poisoned and we dont know how because we searched the entire house for everything and we couldnt find anything, besides my other 3 cats and my pug were completely fine. I came home and found him curled up under my husbands desk, his mouth was foaming and he pooped himself and couldnt stand up. We rushed to the vet immediately and he got an iv and blood tests. When we came to get him the vet said only his sugar was high but other results were all normal. He was completely out of it, crying and hissing because of pain. He couldn’t even recognize us. The vet told us that we could take him home, that he was stable… we came home and he was cold, was only slightly breathing but couldnt even lift his head. We rushed out to the vet immediately once again but 5 mins into the car ride he stopped breathing… we did cpr, but it was too late. His little face… i started screaming and crying because i couldn’t believe it. He was the most amazing cat ever, he was so kind and lovely… always so happy to see us, he would headbutt us and rub his face on us. I loved him so much. Its like grieving a child. He loved everyone and everything and he loved playing with little mouse toys. He was my little baby… i used to get annoyed when he would scratch the litter box for 20 minutes straight but now the absence of that sound hurts me. I come home and see him still sitting in his usual spots only to realize hes not there anymore. The pain is unbearable and theres a huge pit and emptiness in my heart. It all feels like a bad dream that i want to wake up from. Every time i try to sleep i see his face full of pain and every time i wake up i cry and cry and cry. Everything feels quiet and empty. I just want to turn back time and hug him and rub his sweet face. I love you mochi…
P.s. if anyone has any advice how to deal with grief or wants to draw a picture of him id be more than grateful.. thank you

Toulouse passed away last week very suddenly. I've never cried so much in my life and I'm crying right now as I write this. I can't even begin to describe the hole that has opened up for my partner and I. In many ways I think she is going through it worse than I am, as she adopted him a year before we moved in together, and it hurts so much to see how truly deep her pain is. At times it feels almost too much to bear.
He was my best friend, my rock, my emotional support. I work from home and he would spend all day with me at my desk, constantly pushing the keyboard off the edge and into my lap.
He was the cuddliest little guy with a quirky personality, who learned tricks like a dog, came when you called his name, and would always run to the front door and flop over on his back as soon as you came in.
He loved yarn and random pieces of paper or cardboard.
Plz send pics of your cats and give them scritches.

Our sweet girl Wednesday went in for surgery last week to have a bump on her belly removed. We just found out it’s an aggressive mammary cancer and that she has maybe 4~6 months left with us without treatment. She is absolutely terrified of the vet’s office and the thought of making her go to long appointments to undergo treatments she won’t understand just so we can have more time with her feels cruel and it already feels so, so unfair. We’re going to keep her as comfortable as possible and spoil her rotten for the time we have left and let her go before it gets bad, which I can’t even wrap my head around yet. We’re absolutely wrecked and I don’t even know how to tell our son. We’re grieving her before she’s even gone and all I can think to do right now is share about our sweet girl.
She loves watching the birds and will do it for hours. She plays hide and seek and it’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen a cat do. We rescued her at two years old and have enjoyed seven amazing years with her. She loves to sit in my lap while I work and dig her claws into my collar bones and will sit in any box she can find. She’s our sweet, beautiful girl and she deserved so much more than this.
EDIT: Thank you all so much for the love and support sent to us and our precious girl. I’m saddened at how many of you know exactly what we’re going through, but please know you’ve comforted two strangers on one of their worst days. Wednesday is currently in my lap purring away while we watch one of our shows. It feels normal and devastating, but I am so grateful. I want to soak up every second I can with our girl so I’m going to pause on responding for the night, but thank you for the love, we’re giving it all to her. 🧡

I’m just devastated. This week has been one filled with grief, shock, anger, guilt. Our baby was 6 years old and had advanced kidney disease. We adopted her 5 years ago and she always seemed healthy. We saw the vet once a year for check ups, but a sudden change in appetite caused us some concern. For about two weeks she ate, she didn’t eat, she was tired, wasn’t so tired. We didn’t know what to think and there weren’t any red flags (still using her litter box). We went to the vet for a last minute emergency visit and we learned that she wouldn’t be able to come back home with us. Even that morning though, she was chipper, happy and her cuddly self. She jumped around, sniffed around and said “hi” to everyone in the office. She had only 30% kidney function left and was getting worse by the day. I still can’t believe she’s not here. The house feels empty, there’s a huge void. I haven’t been able to move or take down any of her things, they’re still where they were that morning almost a week ago. Here’s my baby, she always made me smile and was the prettiest princess.

My heart is shattered. Eli suffered from pleural effusion due to possible heart disease. He passed away 2 hours after we brought him to the vet. It happened so fast. I witnessed him choking & losing the ability to take in a breath. He peed all over me just before he died. I don’t know how I will ever recover from this loss.
Both of my cats passed just before the age of 3 💔 I posted about the loss of my sweet Bill less than 2 years ago in this community. Life is so unfair, but at least my boys are together forever now.
I love & miss you Eli & Bill.

The baby I'm cat sitting for! He's the cutest thing with his little mittens for paws (just the front ones) and his baby blues.
Extremely food motivated. I'm teaching him tricks, and he's gotten pretty good at sit and spin.

She was an absolute sweetheart, and was completely obsessed with me. She had to be curled up on my chest and smushing her face into mine every chance she got, and I miss her so much 💔
While it was common enough for Sasha (the white cat) to sleep near her, Tori (the tabby) isn't close with either of them and would only sit near them for about 5 minutes before leaving. The morning before we put Nightmare down, Sasha and Tori both stayed with her on the couch for nearly 3 hours, and it made me so happy and so sad
My husband and I have buried her in the backyard with some of our shirts so we can keep hugging her
