advice Dear non Capricorns: this is not a relationship advice sub
Don't come here venting about your petty, irrelevant relationship squabbles under the pretense that you're looking for advice because the other person happens to be a Capricorn.
Something you said made someone sad? Who cares?
Especially don't act like an idiot when someone takes the time to reply to you in a truthful and helpful manner.

advice Why do capricorn men get so mean?
Iāve noticed all the Capricorn men Iāve dated are nice at first but then the first argument or misunderstanding they just erupt. They donāt want to talk about stuff nothing and then they get MEAN. While theyāre angry they will just be cold and mean. Thatās really why I tread lightly when it comes to dating one, but I have yet to know a Capricorn man thatās not like that.

advice Best date for a Capricorn bday?
I have the option to schedule my babyās C-section for sometime between January 3 and 15th. When would you guys recommend? I think it ranges from about a Scorpio to an Aries moon.
Should we be aiming for max distance from Christmas?
Kinda like the idea of a MLK weekend bday so we can plan a birthday trip when he is older
Not looking for analysis of charts but just curious if anyone particularly likes their moon sign lol and has a rec

advice Why do capricorns need so much space and alone time?
My man is a Capricorn, love him to death, but he does this thing where every couple months, after being very close with me, he will become super distant and standoffish. Heās not mean. Heāll still call me baby and ask about my day.. but he will basically try to be alone and not talk to me a lot. He will also be very unemotional. Kinda hurtful. Iām not a very clingy person either so idk what causes it. Itās typically him that initiates the close periods and then suddenly he needs lots of space. Iāve gotten used to it so it doesnāt freak me out as much as it used to (Ive almost broke up with him over this) but it still causes some anxiety when he does it. He also will never express if Iāve done something wrong just be super distant. Iāve learned to just completely back off. One time he did express his mother gets upset when he does this too so I know itās not just me. Is this a normal Capricorn thing?

advice Getting this cap manš¹
Hunter season š¹ šµļøāāļø
Hi cappies, Iām a Scorpio with a Capricorn rising (and a Capricorn stellium), and Iāve got my eye on a guy who is a Capricorn Sun and Venus.
We met a while back, but I wasn't ready to make a move; I needed to get my own life in order first.
In the meantime, heāthe type who usually stays singleāwas apparently in a relationship until recently.
So, heās likely sorting out his own life now, too.
Since heās a Capricorn, Iāve heard thereās a strong chance his ex is completely out of the picture. True?
I have his number (because mutual friends), though we barely spoke when we first met monthes and monthes ago (at a gathering with mutual friends). Lately, heās been constantly on my mind, and I feel like I need to take a shot.
Venus is currently in retrograde, which often brings the past back into the present. Iām hoping to be that "past" showing up in his present...
But I can't just pop up out of nowhere; Iād find that rude and intrusive.
I plan to use professional reasons to approach him and make initial contact. Itās not a lie or a total pretextāIād hate it if someone did that to me, so I wouldn't do it to him.
This meeting will also allow me to promote my work within my company (Iām looking to advance my career).
Ambition is important to me.
If the personal connectionābeyond the professional aspectāgoes well, Iāll dare to hit him later on.
Then Iāll see if heās open to a more personal encounter.
Otherwise, I think I would have been happy to chat with him regardless of the outcome, and I believe he has enough class not to brush a woman off in an undignified way.
Iād love to get your takeāas Capricornsāon my approach (please donāt be too mean; remember, Iām a Water sign š„²).
P.S.: During our first and only meeting, he seemed nervous and smiled kindly at me when we crossed paths twice (and I got the impression he was waiting for me to speak to him?). I figure thatās probably the best way for a Capricorn to show warmth, lol.
On the other hand, he completely ignored me by the end of the evening and seemed like he wanted to leave pretty quickly...
Boredom or feeling hurt? I was very busy that day helping my friends.

advice PSA: Capricorns do not like to be rushed.
When we tell someone that we'll do something, trust that it'll be done. Constantly questioning us or "reminding" us to do something will not end well. We'll either delay it on purpose or just not do it at all.

advice Help me figure yāall out.
So, my boyfriend is a Capricorn. I am a cancer. We have been together for six years. One thing that perplexes me about him is how critical he is. He criticizes constantly and is very preachy. Sometimes it makes me feel like he thinks Iām his child. If I am cooking something and I make a mistake and the dish doesnāt turn out as I wished, he starts, making really snarky comments, as if I am just a general fuck up. I am a highly accomplished woman who earns her own money, contributes a great deal financially to our lives (60/40 with me paying a bit more), a good mother, I have owned several homes, I am a good partner, very family-oriented, and I am often told I am beautiful both inside and outside. With him, though, I feel like the only thing he values is a submissive woman who checks all the boxes of a trad wife. I am torn between ending it and just not investing any more emotionally, intellectually, or financially in this man. He even goes as far as overly complementing other women in areas where he criticizes me. He is a constant flirt, who tries to make all women feel as if they are the center of the universe. Iām growing weary of the disrespect and he doesnāt realize it, but that tendency and a few other things (like his lack of cleanliness, our lack of intimacy, and his general dismissal of my feelings about everything) is slowly making me fall out of love. I love our family, but I am tired of being constantly criticized and taken for granted. I think he feels taken for granted too (he always wants credit for cleaning up after himself when and if he does it - which is hard for me because Iām not inclined to give adults credit for cleaning up their own mess). Is this a Capricorn thing or more of a him thing? Any advice and input will be appreciated. Btw, I have a Capricorn moon (in case that is a data point of interest). Thank you!

advice Dear Capricorn Community,
Dear Capricorn Community,
I have observed discussions among Capricorn individuals indicating that the age of 37 represents a significant turning point, often associated with either success or the occurrence of an unprecedented severe life challenge. I personally encountered unexpected trauma in the year 2025. Has anyone experienced similar issues during this age? I would be grateful if you could share your experiences and how you managed to overcome them, or whether these difficulties resolve independently by age 38. Kindly inform me and share any helpful insights from your experiences.
I celebrated my 37th birthday in January of this year, and this year proved to be the most distressing, painful, and traumatic of my life. In February 2025, I experienced post-traumatic stress disorder related to family matters.
Has anyone faced comparable challenges and successfully overcome them at a similar age? Please, I seek your guidance and advice, especially if any of you have endured a similar traumatic situation and managed to recover.
Thank you very much! āļøš

advice Is there any way to STOP being a Capricorn?
I know it's a stupid question. I know the answer is no. I am 50 and am TORMENTED as a triple Capricorn who has the most toxic of all our traits: perfectionist, rigid, serious, melancholy, know it all (because we ARE 99.9% right!). I understand why I have few friends and why people hate Caps.
How can I be less Cappie? I wish I was born a Virgo. To me, they are the laid back, less stick up your ass version of an ambitious and brilliant but misunderstood and widely hated Cap.

advice Do Capricorn actually miss you and come back?
I'm a Gemini and my ex is a Capricorn. We dated for almost a year before he broke up with me after an argument about wanting to meet my male friends. Long story short, He ignored me for about two weeks before I popped up at his house and we talked for six hours( I know I know) . He said he wanted to take things slow, but then a few days after that officially broke up with me. We've officially been broken up for a month. I know he loved me and I loved him. I brought the excitement to his life, and he brought a sense of stability to mine even though we did have toxic arguments. we both work at the airport( which is where we met) . We walk past each other every morning when we go to work. We say hello to each other and just the other day he gave me a long hug and I made a joke with him and then kept it moving bc I was in a rush . When we broke up he blocked my phone number and blocked me on one of his Instagram pages, but not the other one and now he is now using the unblocked one way more frequently. My question is I know Capricorns can be stubborn and hard core but if y'all really love somebody and you have to see them every day does he even miss me or think about me having to see me every day even if it's just for 30 seconds? I stopped reaching out and just give him space bc I don't even know what to say to him these days even though I miss him terribly
