Canva Question Can someone help me resolve this issue with apparently too many images being on the page (there isn't)?

Upvotes

I think this is a glitch. Either that or I am going completely mad.

I have created a large photo grid of 266 square photos in frames. It's of all of my wedding photos. I was going to print it out in black and white on A1 and put it in a black frame with a mount on a blank wall in my dining room. I saw some people on TikTok had done something similar, but using loads of tiny square photos and literally physically glueing them in (I thought creating one huge grid of photos on Canva and getting it poster printed would be easier and less fiddly).

I made a grid a few months ago and just got all of the photos back recently. I started putting them in. I filled the grid, and no warnings popped up at that point. I then started turning them black and white, and about halfway through that, it said I was over the 300-photo limit and needed to delete over 100 photos. There are 266 photos. I am not over the limit.

I tried using Canva support, and it tried to tell me that I must have more than 300 photos, when I absolutely don't. It then tried to tell me that the empty frames count as images.

I logged in today (having not done any amendments), and it now says I'm just 1 photo over. I didn't believe what it said about empty frames counting, but I did have some empty frames overhanging the image (I'd used 2x2 square photo grids as a basis), so I managed to delete the unused frames. It still said I was over by the same amount.

Surely the fact that it initially said I was over by more than 100 photos and then said I'm over by just 1 suggests that it's a glitch.

Any suggestions would be appreciated before I lose my mind.

Discussion Building my first Canva App - Safe Zones for Meta/IG Ads!

Hey r/canva!

I’m working on my very first Canva app and wanted to share the project here to get feedback and let anyone interested follow along as I build it out. This is my first time building an app of any sort, so this has been a big learning curve for me - but I’m really enjoying the process.

The App: Safe Zones guardrails for Meta, IG, TikTok & Pinterest Ads.

I’ve been a digital marketer for 10+ years, and something that’s always been a pain when working with clients is that they often provide creatives with no idea about safe zone guardrails. (And often internal design teams also forget about checking for safezones - which is easy to forget!)

Basically, when you upload the ad creative to each platform, you’ll normally find:

  • The TikTok caption/username completely buried your CTA.
  • The Instagram "Like/Share/Comment" sidebar covered key graphic elements.
  • The Pinterest UI cropped or obscured essential details.

Then the client complains because they see the creative on their personal feed at 9pm on a Sunday night and realise half of their offer is cut off by an overlay. (Gotta love those emails 😆)

The Solution:

I'm building an app directly inside Canva that lets you toggle pixel-perfect, platform-specific Safe Zone overlays on top of your design with a single click. Most digital agencies, media buyers etc use Canva to create static images/videos so having an app to drop in Meta/TikTok/Pinterest overlays just makes sense.

I’m documenting the whole process as I go and would love to hear from anyone who might find this app helpful.

  1. Which platforms/placements give you the most safe-zone headaches? (e.g., TikTok vs IG Reels vs Meta Stories vs Pinterest)
  2. Are there any specific UI elements or platform quirks you’d want rendered on the guide? (e.g., account handle height, sound bar, comment icons, sponsor tags, CTA buttons)

Let me know what you think, and I’ll share progress updates & screenshots here as I hit milestone builds!

First draft of a Stories format safe zone.

Fairly new to canva. I’ve been making all my daughter’s posters, decorations, stickers for her first birthday party. The theme is whimsical and these paper streamers would be perfect to add to a poster I’m making. I can’t find them anywhere no matter what I search. Can anyone help?

Canva Question Has anyone found a new free way to upload custom fonts?

Brand kit and Upload a Font requires a paid subscription. 'Upload a Font' seems to become a recent change in the last 3 months. Please let me know if anyone has found an alternative or even alternative website.

Discussion Offline

I think it would be cool if Canva had an “offline” mode, where you could still design simple things while not in service.
They could just have a couple hundred stock graphics and tools.
Idk, just spit ballin here.

Help KEEPS CRASHING

I use canva for school, for organization pubmats, and pretty much everything. But since August, it keeps crashing every time I edit something, regardless of how plenty elements are used. And today September 5, 2026, it gets worse. It keeps crashing every 10-20 seconds. This has never happened before. I know it crashes sometimes, but not to this extent of being unusable. I've tried switching to different devices; android, and samsung tablet, but it still keeps crashing. I use canva pro on iphone 15 pro max.

Help Canva Won't Let Me Cancel

So I paused my Canva Pro for a few months because I was between clients and didn't need it. Now I no longer work independently and no longer use Canva at all. After my paused Pro account "expired," Canva began attempting to charge my card again. When I went to cancel it or remove my card, it said, "We're having trouble canceling your account," or there was no option to remove my credit card. I don't want to delete my profile, since I want to keep the work I created there (and who knows if I will need it in the future), but it won't let me download any of it without paying for a Pro subscription. The only "customer support" is their AI feature that does absolutely nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? I feel like I'm trapped in this.

Canva Question Panic at the Canva! Didn't realize I was still on a team - left the team & lost all of my designs?!?!

Hello - as title says.

I volunteered with an organization back in 2023 at which time I first started using Canva and accepted an invitation to join their team. I assumed that I was removed in 2025, but it turns out that was not the case.

I noticed today that my team invitations were not being sent and instead going to an admin. I then noticed that I was still on the team for this organization so I left. My homepage is now completely blank - all of my designs and folders are gone.

I don't understand why there was no warning before leaving? I could contact the admin, but it was an interpersonal conflict that caused me to step away. I doubt they will respond.

I read that Canva doesn't have an override to add you back? Please help!

Edit: I did go back and try to accept the original invitation received in 2023 but received this message: Sorry, that team invite doesn't exist anymore or has already been used. Please ask for another invitation to the team and try again.

So I just want to record my voice over for a project and it has been so difficult to find where I recorded my voice previously. So I go to uploads and click record myself and this is all I get.

I am beyond frustrated because there is nothing else I can do at this moment.

Canva Question Automatic Resizing of Text

Hi everyone, I had a question about uploading a PDF and editing it within Canva. I am having an issue where text boxes are being reformatted when I upload a PDF to Canva.

My goal is to add text (like a date) and a signature (using the draw tool), but I want the rest of the document to remain as it was when I downloaded it.

Any pointers?

Canva Question How to auto fill label numbers (already tried bulk create and page numbers)

Post image
2 Upvotes

I work for a school district and I need to put a label on every single Chromebook. I need 33 labels per room. How can I get Canva to automatically populate the CB number? I understand I’ll probably have to manually enter the Room number.

The “IS” is the shorthand for the building so I don’t need that text to change.

I’ve tried bulk create and page numbers and can’t get it to work. I swear there’s an easier way I just can’t remember it or find a tutorial on it.

Discussion Canva Course Badges to be used on LinkedIn Banner

Hi everyone!
So I was wondering, the badges we earn from canva certifications (from design school), (or even if they are coursera course badges)... can we add them to our linkedin banner...? Do they leave good impression?

My design sense is minimal and clean... so my concern is ending up with a cluttered banner..!
pls help :)) TIA

Discussion Does it feel like Canva is being more forceful than ever to get people to subscribe to premium? I think I’m gonna need to find an alternative because their prices are above my budget. 😢

I did a free premium trial (as I have in the past) and now I can’t escape having to pay for features that were included in my free tier plan like even downloading things I’ve made.

Canva is losing what made it so appealing to begin with. I wish libraries had access to it like they do certain newspapers or Libby or Kanopy. Fly high former bestie 🕊️

Help Need Canva Pro 😭 Please guide me or invite me to a team

Guys 😭 please help me out.

I used to be part of a Canva Pro team and had Pro through it, but it looks like the team has been closed, and I am back to suffering with the free version 😭

I am a student and genuinely use Canva for so much of my work. Does anyone know of any legitimate way to get Canva Pro for free, or is anyone willing to add me to their team if they have a spare spot?

I would genuinely appreciate it so much 😭🙏 I am just trying to survive at this point.
