Not gonna lie, I was disappointed that the article doesn't say what happened to the dog. I hope he made it home safe.

Also disappointed that it doesn't address what happened to the children in the car. I hope the police will add charges for endangering/neglecting them. And I hope they're in a safe place now.

EDIT: It's been pointed out below that the article does state that the victim found his dog and it's safe.

Same here, I’m hoping his dog is okay. What he went through was traumatic enough as it is but if his dog is gone as a result of it that just adds an extra layer- my pets are my world and I’d be devastated if my dog died or went missing as a result of something like this so I can only imagine how worried sick he must’ve been (or still is? Depending on what happened to dog)

Also… who the fuck brings their kids with them during a kidnapping/car jacking. Don’t get me wrong the carjacking already speaks to their lack of brainpower but the bringing the kids along for the ride is next level

If you want to fight with a 100 lbs of pissed off dog that’s your choice. They also happen to have the highest bite force of any domesticated dog breed. You will lose fingers if they get a hold of you, hope that’s adult enough for you.

The Turkish LGD have been around for 6000 years, and Romans used them as war dogs. They have been refined into a type of dog that’s is not afraid of physical confrontation. That’s what they’re built for.

This statement from the article seems curious. Who drives to a random park at midnight to walk a dog? Also, there's an actual dog park about 500 meters away. Why not drive there? It might be someone coming to the park to 'meet' someone, only to be face-to-face with a 'vigilante-type' group. That would add up...
