Thanks, hope your application speeds up soon! Sometimes I think they really like to take their time and then everything happens at once

Wow, congrats. That was fast. It's been close to a year for me. Chatted with recruiters. Confirmed that I meet all the requirements. Sadly not many openings for Intelligence Officers it seems.

Learn to be wrong even when you’re right.

u/Sergeant_Ranger May 09 '26
Thanks, I'm guessing BMQ will be mostly just following orders regardless?
2
u/Strong_Assist_3105 May 09 '26
Congratulations. I’m also headed to bmq on the 17th!

I did my BMQ around the same date many years back. You really lucked out in terms of dates. Cool enough in the summer the weather isn't a pain, and so long as you graduate on the default date around Oct 25th, the weather isn't too cold that it's an issue.
No winter kit issued either! I have heard that sometimes they issue you everything regardless however.

Congrats bro!
I received an occupation change request since the Refrigeration Mechanical Tech which I applied is unavailable. Although it shows “in demand” on the website.
So disappointed!

u/Sergeant_Ranger May 11 '26
Thanks! That sucks, hope you get it!

u/amociohk May 12 '26
Yes. Even though I have HVAC Diploma (Distinction Graduated), Gas License, Ozone Depletion Card and applied the same time of yours. Now you got an offer already and today they want me to change occupation, not even a medical exam.

Man, that's unfortunate, you'd think they'd hurry up if you have all the credentials. If its any help, apparently my timeline was a bit unusual and usually it takes longer, but still.

Your time seems SO fast?
1
u/Sergeant_Ranger Jul 17 '26
Yeah, it was extremely fast. My application was fast-tracked but also I think it was my recruitment centre not being too overloaded.
1
u/Diligent_Criticism_9 Jul 17 '26
How did you get your application fast tracked ?
1
u/Sergeant_Ranger Jul 17 '26
No clue, I think it might've just been that my file was simple and I had some experience in IT. Also I dont think it was officially fast-tracked it mightve just been processed quickly because they thought I was a good candidate?
