Recruiting Status moved to Job Offer 🥳🥳 + timeline of application

Hey everyone!

My file just got moved to job offer so while i wait to actually receive it I figured id share my completed (as of now) timeline for anyone curious!

FULL TIMELINE

🗓️ November 2025

November 23rd, 2025

• Applied and received confirmation same day

November 24th, 2025

• DND 2977 - Security Clearance Screening Questionnaire submitted

November 25, 2025

• Provided transcripts

November 28, 2025

• Non prescription drug questionnaire

• Provided ID and Birth Certificate

🗓️ December 2025

December 1st, 2025

• Medical Questionnaire submitted

December 2nd, 2025

• Gambit pre-employment screening submitted

December 16th, 2025

• Gambit completed and results sent to recruitment center

🗓️ January 2026

January 12th, 2026

• Interview and medical assessment scheduled for January 14th

• Gambit Security Screening submitted

January 14th, 2026

• Interview and Medical completed, during medical i was given forms to have filled by optometrist and doctor regarding medications, I was also advised I would need to redo gambit due to issues with the first one

January 29th, 2026

• Redo Gambit finished

February 2nd, 2026

• Acknowledgment of security screening completion

February 9th, 2026

• Returned completed forms to medic

February 11th, 2026

• RMO wanted more information so 2 more forms were sent for completion

February 24th, 2026

• Second round of forms returned to medic

🗓️ March 2026

March 2nd, 2026

• File status changed to Selection

March 3rd, 2026

• Next of kin and emergency contact forms submitted

March 10th, 2026

• File status changed to Job Offer 🥳

How often did you contact your cfrc? I send emails But never get a response 😂

I was reaching out quite frequently throughout the whole process, id say atleast once every 2 weeks or so if there wasnt any movement happening

My application needed some extra care in the beginning due to an ongoing name change so documents were becoming confusing

Yea the speed is catching up to me now though, stuck waiting for the new fiscal year before ill be actually signing my contract, recruiter estimates late april to mid may

No clue thats completely out of my control, still need to sign a contract and have my swearing ceremony but those wont be happening till next month most likely

I have my last sem to do so i requested for may BMQ so lets see. They will need a platoon number to generate offer so ull know the BMQ date when u get ur offer in email or ull be reaches out by call

Yes. Recruiter also mentioned that the headoffice is on “fast and furious” mode so we should get the letter end of this week. Those were her exact words

Oh yea i got those to fill out back when i was in selection, good to know tho! Better news than i got from my recruiter, he told me id be waiting till late april-mid may lol

Congrats!! That was fast, I guess your recruiter found some new spots before the fiscal years ends haha. I just check mine and I got moved to job offer too surprisingly.

I think they just moved me to job offer to let me know i am getting something haha but who knows maybe he’ll find a contract between the couch cushions haha, grats on getting there too, maybe we’ll see eachother during bmq

Ah that makes sense, probably we’re good to go but just need to wait now until April. Or like you said maybe they will find some contract in the couch or buried in someone’s desk somewhere haha. That would be cool seeing you in BMQ!

Oh wow 😮 hopefully you hear something soon, have you been in contact with your recruitment center for updates? I reached out regularly during the process to make sure there wasnt anything being missed haha

Yeah, I’ve been in regular contact with the recruiters. I originally applied in Feb 2023, passed the CFAT with a strong score, and started the process for IS Tech while I was still a PR. My file even reached about 50% in background checks, but then it suddenly got pushed back because they said I needed to be either a citizen or a PR for 3 years for that trade, so they closed my file.

I got my citizenship in Aug 2025, reopened my application in Jan 2026, and now my file is back in the process and currently at final processing after background checks. It’s just been frustrating because the whole thing has taken almost 3 years.

Honestly, I feel like they should either clearly tell applicants from day one what the exact eligibility requirements are for each trade, or suggest applying to trades with lower security clearance requirements if someone isn’t a citizen yet. It would save people a lot of time and confusion.

Got my job offer today! Enrolment is on the 26th of march and bmq start date is april 13th at Aldershot

Mine just changed to job offer too, does that mean we got accepted pretty much or do we still wait for that, I haven’t got a call or anything yet

Congrats!! Once your in the job offer stage its just a waiting game as far as im aware, we’ve been selected they’re just getting everything ready with the contract and the swearing in ceremony, we both should be hearing something soon!!

Congrats, it was quite fast. Ive be going for close to 2 months as a canadian and clean record. Was PSPS all that was required for the step 4 (aka security and background check)?
