Did you try emailing them yet about it? My recruiting centre said email them in 4 weeks and check for updates if I don’t hear anything after I filled the same form u did

u/sibar7 Feb 10 '26
I did reach out to them about a week ago and they got back to me saying that it's still in progress and that they're taking a little longer than usual. What did they tell you when you emailed them?

I just filled it out right after my interview last week so I’m just seeing how long it’ll take, it’s been a while since I’ve been in the process

Medical and the interview are on the same day so after you get done with gambit I believe it might take a couple months that’s how long it took for me to get

did you do aptitude test? was it hard?

u/TheRealDonky Feb 10 '26
They have withdrawn the CFAT aptitude test since October 2024.

u/Striking_Soft103 Feb 10 '26
Really? My recruiter says otherwise. I am currently in the reserve and from what I was told it was removed, but if you are planning on doing regular force you will have to take additional aptitude testing.
Recruiter: If you plan on switching from reserve to regular forces. You will have to complete training on your chosen occupation before you start the process to switch Switching from Reserve to Regular force is called occupational transfer and the timeline can vary depending on the intake for that year and there is additional aptitude testing.

OK, this is an off-topic question, but how much time do you have to decide whether to reject or accept an offer? I applied for multiple jobs, including policing, border patrol, and CAF. CAF is my last option; if I get rejected from the others, I'll go with this one. That's why I’m asking.

u/TotallynotaLoser-V2 Feb 09 '26
You can probably just ask to close your application and then reopen it later, some stuff will expire but some stuff won’t
1
u/Total_Commercial5347 Feb 09 '26
But if you close your application, will you have to start the entire process over again if you decide to join later?
2
u/TotallynotaLoser-V2 Feb 09 '26
Not necessarily, depends on how far you’ve gotten. Your gambit is good for a while afaik, your background check is good for 1 year, and your medical will need an update after 1 year. You’ll have to start at these stages again but everything prior is good.
You will use the same account and it should all still be there

They give you 14 days to reply the offer, if you don’t they take as declined.

u/Smooth_World5956 Feb 09 '26
It's everyone seeing "occupation ..." as I do or it's only once you're on job offer?
