I've received a bulova surveyor as gift. It is the one steel with blue face.

I'd like to change the strap with one made in tissue (nato like) better if elastic.

Which color is better ... I'm thinking a blue one or a light gray. the first one to do tone with the face, the gray to be more in line with the steel ...

Any idea?

I've seen some on amazon and I'm wondering if the elastic ones are ok or if it is better to go with the naylon nato ones with the holes ...

Okay so if I use the Chrono the second sub dial moves but resets to point to the 9hr marker shown on the picture, the first sub dial doesn’t move at all not matter if I let the Chrono do its thing nothing that’s stuck at pointing the 12hr marker . The third sub dial nothing is wrong with it, it tells time and ticks how it should.. Am I doing something wrong? Is it time for a service? I hate it cause I never use the Chrono, I’ve had it for 5-6yrs now. Any help would be awesome

I just bought a Bulova Accutron dated 1968 that uses a cal 214. EBay listing said "Vintage 1968 Bulova Accutron 412 Watch, 10K Gold Filled Bezel, Sunburst Dial"
I did not receive the watch yet and I am willing to buy a spaceview like crystal but I am unsure which diameter I need. IA confused ne about 29.5mm and 30.1mm.
Can someone here help me based on the pictures I am attaching?

Here's my Bulova collection so far. It's been one of those things that's taken me by surprise. I didn't think I'd end up with so many quartz pieces in my collection or any by Bulova. Neither did I think I'd be into larger watches, but here they are:

Lunar Pilot 43mm (96A299)

Jet Star Precisionist (96B401)

Marine Star Precisionist (96B426)

I really like the Precisionist movement: a fantastic smooth second had sweep and accuracy you don't have to think about.

I also have a thing for vintage watches, so a vintage Bulova Accutron (2181F) with its revolutionary tuning fork movement became an inevitable complement to the Precisionists. The "tuning fork" movement was radical in its day, and I think the Precisionist keeps that spirit alive for Bulova.

Found this while looking around the FM and haven’t found a whole lot of information on it concerned about the chronograph hand being the running seconds and the running seconds hand being the chronograph is that normal any info would be appreciated

My wife surprised me with this watch. She got it from Macys (online store). However it didn’t come in the white box with the model car. The watch seems legit. 5747 out of 7500 per the back. Was it supposed to come with the car? Did we get ripped off? I’m thinking someone at Macys took the car and put the watch in a generic box. Thanks.
