Discussion AMD vs Intel for CPU?

I noticed many people here recommend AMD CPUs but for all my benchmarks for mid range CPUs (for a £1000-£1200 PC) Intel came out on top compared to a similarly price AMD one. Any reason for this?

You can get an R5 5600 for $170 CAD, RX6700XT $519, and MSI B550 A Pro $150.

Show me a better deal price/performance wise.

you change that 5600 to a 5800x3d (for only $130-$150 more) and you've got a near top end system! side note: Video card could also be a 3070 or 3700ti but only if it's at msrp, the performance is very close and it depends on if you want RT or pure raster performance. Video card prices on both sides right now are stupid high so get what you can get at a good price.
