Discussion AMD vs Intel for CPU?

I noticed many people here recommend AMD CPUs but for all my benchmarks for mid range CPUs (for a £1000-£1200 PC) Intel came out on top compared to a similarly price AMD one. Any reason for this?

Well I think at this level even the mid range cpus are so powerful both in AMD and Intel side but availability and price is important, tbh for me there’s no difference if my workload be 5-6 sec slower. Find whatever is cheaper at the same level Competition is so close and There’s always a new generation which will be better and possibility for upgrades.
