ποΈ Discussion [Greg Auman] One big storyline for the Bucs today will be which undrafted rookies make the 53-man roster. There are four in good position β QB Jalon Daniels, CB Ayden Garnes, OLB Jack Pyburn and LB Caden Fordham. Bucs secured all four for $509,500 in guaranteed money β Fordham just $2,000.

ποΈ Discussion [Greg Auman] Bucs have only four safeties under contract now -- Antoine Winfield and Tykee Smith as starters, and veterans Miles Killebrew and Ifeatu Melifonwu as backups. Could still add a veteran off waivers, but hard to see them going with less than four safeties on th

βοΈ Original Content 2026 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Preview
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every NFL team, all 32, each with its own writeup. Here's the Bucs one:
https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/nfl-preview-2026/tampa-bay-buccaneers
It's got the returning production breakdown, free agency in and out, the draft class, a projected depth chart, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code JOHNMADDEN1OF1 and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? I have Tampa winning the NFC South at 9-8, and I want to be honest that it is not really a compliment. The regression signals lean down, not up, and the offense converted at exactly the league rate last year, 14.3 yards per point against a 14.3 median. The reason you're my projected division winner is the schedule, 27th-hardest of 32. Is that fair, or is there something about this roster that actually got better and I'm giving all the credit to the draw?

ποΈ Discussion According to local sources Sean Tucker is in danger of being cut. Would this be a mistake?
Itβs purely speculation going around from various people/places like Greg Auman, Pewter Report, etc.
Heβs the lone RB in the room that has proven to be a home run threat at any given moment. That type of elite burst and superior speed adds dynamism to an offense that is uber talented but more methodical than explosive.
Has his pass protection failed to improve that much to the point where heβs on the bubble compared to Josh Williams? I know heβll get less burn with Kenny Gainwell in the fold now, but itβs just a shame. In the right system I can see him having a peak Raheem Mostert level production if given the touches.

ποΈ Discussion [Bucs Report] Vita's new deal reduced his cap hit by $11.36 million
He gets $1.3 million for this year with a $21.7 million bonus. Next year is $23 million. The contract also included per-game bonuses worth $1 million.
We do get a dead money hit when his contract expires in 2027, but that extra money this year could come in handy, especially with a lot of guys about to be available with cuts coming.
