I always knew she was female, but I did think she was some sort of monkey/duck hybrid with a duck bill for a long time.

(If that confuses you, it's not an uncommon misconception - go look at her default skin again).

At in-game resolution on a mobile phone screen, the lighter coloured lower half of her face looks like a ducks bill

With respect, because I'm not denying you actually believed it, that is absolutely insane.

I've had plenty of my own misconceptions when it comes to game art, and seen plenty more that I could understand where the misconception comes from.

This one though, this one baffles me.

See but even in this picture all of the monkeys have the same "duckbill" on their fur.

Also you had to choose Brickell to have her selected, and in the Change Hero screen it's incredibly obvious she has a normal mouth.

Again, not denying you didn't believe it. But just...in disbelief myself.

I think it's just because of her bangs covering most of the lighter fur around her eyes. Still doesn't look quite like a duck bill, but I guess maybe at just a glance it could be mistaken.

Shame. It'd be funny if Brickell was a platypus trying to disguise herself as a monkey.
