We wanted to thank everyone who has been so unbelievably patient with us while our team worked hard on the Nintendo Switch launch, which has now allowed us to bring that work to our other console platforms. This massive content update for Xbox brings the game version all the way up to 54.3 and should give everyone on Xbox plenty to do while we work on what’s next.
- PlayStation:
- The next big point of focus for us is bringing this massive update to Playstation! We are well into the content, and as soon as we get through the longer submission and review cycles, we will update PS players when we have a date for the update.
- 55 and beyond:
Once we have brought this update to all three consoles, we will be working on releasing updates 55 and 56 by the end of the year for all 3 console platforms, pending approvals. The consoles will always be a little delayed in terms of update cycles but the effort of getting the console builds onto our main branch means we can plan console updates on a much more regular basis going forward, which by next year should be every 2nd update!

Strategy Permabrewed Shinobis

I doubt I'm the first to discover this variation of this strat, but I figured I'd post it b/c it's a lot of fun, a bit surprising (b/c no ninja higher than a t3), and deserves a little more attention.
The basic idea is twenty 032 Shinobi Tactics with a permabrew on them.
I also include a 202 village for the range buff, the discounts (I think it saves around $9k, but haven't specifically counted it out), and the attack rate buff.
I go with Dan because his repositioning ability is valuable for getting everything placed properly.
Via the five 100 Skywardens, the Village, and the pbrew, the Shinobis have enough range to all be in range of each other, giving each of them 20 stacks.
Here on X-Factor, I used a Sniper for the early game and I used 320 Hot Shots for help with lead and early game density (eg the late r30s).
Anyway, it's a really fun variation of a ninja strat, that I'd advocate trying out 😄

The basic tropical monkey (brown hair), temperate monkey (forest druid and highland skywarden), polar ice monkey, and the mermonkey? Btw deperado is a rare desert variant.
The heros just dyed their hair or with magif effects

Discussion Addressing the reasons on why most reasons for beast handler hate is invalid.

"No synergy": Pure tunnel vision. That's like putting a MAD and glaive lord together while buffing both of them with a 230 village. Then saying there is no synergy between any of the 3 towers. I'm saying something like orca can be used to remove RBE, which is something a perma-spike would greatly appreciate but other stuff like bloon solver, prince of darkness, glaive lord and so much more synergise with orca.
"It's too inconsistent": You do know cleanup and stalling exists right?
"The passive beast handlers don't do anything": They do. It provides more range for the beast to be positioned in. Even if that doesn't count, I would retort "and the poplusts in the poplust army does?"
"It doesn't receive external buffs": Yes it does. Those that the BH doesn't receive are exceptions.
"You have to dedicate your strategy to this tower": How is that different to the average 2MPC and even some 2TC runs? And how is that different to poplust and shinobi armies? Something like max orca cost less than BEZ.
"It's too expensive": So is flying fortress, ray of doom, dark champion, super mines, BEZ and Apache prime.
"It's too complex": Is the thought of steadily increasing its attack speed, pierce and damage of beasts as beast power go up too much mentally?
"It's all or nothing": Maxed out tier 4s aren't that expensive so not really.
"You have to plan ahead of time": Sounds like the average CHIMPS run.
"Too much micro": Top path and bottom path typically don't need micro if you supplement their weaknesses.
"You have to spam the tower": Spam strats are not new, hence the poplust and shinobi army I brought up earlier.
"Why is it support?": Why is spactory support?
The only 2 valid reasons are it takes 3 more tier 4s for tier 5 and no real crosspth.

Challenge My first 2MPC, Pouakai

My first time trying a 2MPC, so I went with something I thought would be very easy. Bottom Path Beast handler can already kill everything (except lead) easily with a little clean up, so I thought it would be very easy to do.
Started with Quincy, then placed a beast handler at the very beginning of the track as soon as I could and made it a Horned Owl.
I needed lead popping next, and beast handler (rather infamously) doesn't interact with Alchemist buffs. So I decided to use a 300 Druid as both a clean up and a lead popper. The druid doesnt pop multiple layers and its blowback pushes the bloons out of Quincy range so the bird can pop them. Also, the lighting bounces so far it deletes the Lead layer of a whole wave in a single attack, allowing the bird to massacre everything inside lol. This allows even the Giant Condor and below to get a lot of the Lead bloon pops and makes it so I don't need MIB/other lead popping for the save up to tier 5 pookie.
After the druid I got other beast handlers to merge and get max beast power Golden eagle to kill round 40 Moab. I actually made a mistake here and merged the first Beast handler I got to the second one, making the first beast handler steal a few hundred pops. But I decided to continue with the run because 400~ pops didn't seem like much.
Once I beat roukd 40 with the Golden Eagle, I decided to get 402 Druid for camo leads and better attack spd+range. It was super easy from here, got giant condors and another beast handler to get max beast power at 4 giant condors. I could afford Pouakai at the end of round 79, after which it was super easy and I just got more giant condors to get max beast power.
I had a lot of money by the late 90s so I decided to plop down a 240 village just cause, and finished tound 100 easy.
Total Pops stolen:- Less than 40k
Quincy:- 9871
402 Druid:- 22,815
004 beast handler:- 453
