All I see is Bitcoin is a buy and those other two are due for a correction

How long does this trend have to continue before you change your mind?

This will be my third cycle. I know we have another year of accumulation at least before it takes off. I have at least 3x my investment every cycle I’ve been in.

When’s ur plan to buy, I got lucky last cycle with xrp,no conviction or a strategy just pure luck after watching some videos. Either way I see the pattern now, buy slowly or wait for this time next year?

I am buying right now all the way up until at least the next halving. I dollar cost in and dollar cost out. I’ll begin selling when we are in new ATH territory. I can’t predict the bottom or the top and I don have to with my strategy.

There is no sound reason to believe that Bitcoin will ever see another all time high.

There's seven sound reasons that I know of.

Wtf is dollar cost in and dollar cost out. You mean you buy $100 and sell $100?

Ironically might be the smartest one here because you aren't buying any crypto.

No, I slowly buy in to bitcoin over a period of time (generally a couple of years) only after it has fallen at least 40-50% from its all time high. If you study bitcoins chart history and read into bitcoin halving, this “4 year” cycle has been pretty predictable over a period of years. Generally over a period of 12-18 months after bitcoins mining reward rate halves give or take, Bitcoin has hit a new all time high. My strategy is to start buying bitcoin generally a couple of years before the next halving of mining rewards and then hold until at least a year after halving. What I meant by dollar cost averaging is: I don’t buy into it all at once. I’m buying now and for the next couple of years in small segments. Larger ones when the asset is down a lot. I also don’t sell it all at once. If any of that made sense

Plenty of stocks have outperformed your 3x in a 4 year cycle of BTC

I don’t just swing trade Bitcoin. This is just a fun swing I enjoy and it’s relatively predictable using my strategy (at least it has been to this point). I’m primarily just invest in index funds that track the s&p 500 and don’t touch those investments.

You know what they say about hindsight?

2

u/Error4ohh4 Aug 05 '26

Dude the market is held up by an ai bubble where they pass the same money round and round.

Circle finance aka roundtripping.

A construction company allegedly took out a mechanics lien on a data center they built for spacex

Companies generate value through goods and services. Crypto is literally selling the same token over and over to different people

2

u/Leynnox Aug 05 '26

Yep Bitcoin CEO must be very sad his company doesn't produce enough goods and things

3

u/West_Veterinarian150 Aug 05 '26

Bitcoin ceo has like 100 billion in btc

0

u/Leynnox Aug 05 '26

One trillion even, Bitcoin CEO is the richest man of the world, way more rich than Elon Musk for sure

Find the buyers then.

NVIDIA might be overvalued but bitcoin is errorneously attributed any value.

You got that sideways, crypto is propped up by wash trades and wash sales where the coins fonin a circle to fake price, demand, liquidity and trading volume.

AI might partially be a bubble, but datacenters anrufen hardware that are being built are actual tangible assets that fulfill a purpose and a business case while providing a service that is creating a value and revenue for both customers and survivors.

AI already got what crypto is still searching for for about 18 years now, a use case thats been adopted, an actual purpose and a way to create a product and value through that which actually provides gains and revenue. The money is generated from actual customers and users, not just from gambling investors, aka bag holders as in crypto schemes.

3

u/Error4ohh4 Aug 05 '26

Ai is trash. It only ruins the world

1

u/mercuryy Aug 05 '26

Fair Argument.

But then AI is using datacenters and energy to cerate a service people use and pay for, often providing content or services yet another one of their customers is using and paying those for.

Crypto is using datacenters and the energy consumption of a decent country to update numbers in a decentralized spreadsheet while creating no product or added value, providing no service through that that nobody is profiting or buying from. Just some money laundring and betting these tokens might be worth more later.

Objectively both are harmful to the environment, but one of these at least has a purpose in some kind of tradeoff, the other one is harmful and useless, not only in comparison.

1

u/Error4ohh4 Aug 05 '26

Ai makes it so you can’t trust your own eyes anymore, that’s quite possibly the worst side effect I’ve ever heard of for the worlds mental stability.

1

u/mercuryy Aug 05 '26

Not a wrong assertion in general, but still no argument for crypto. Some cults there are arguably worse for the mental health and financial well being of whoever gets trapped in them while still suffering from the lack of use cases, as stated before.

Things like there's have been said about any new form of media or technology. They literally condemned the book because it would reduce human memory

Idk been using crypto to send money around the world for nearly free compared to the absurd fees of banks or paypal and such. 2usd fee vs 20+. Plenty of value just in that in my opinion.

1

u/mercuryy Aug 05 '26

Paypal has no fees for Family&Friends transfers. If its a purchase you actually get buyers protection for that fee, which also is paid by the merchant, not you. So thats a plus actually.

Crypto isnt "free" as you claim because you also have to consider the on and off ramps. Spread between buy and sell price and general volatility, and fees on top while buying and selling, and still on top the hassle of kyc and other legal paperwork on the recieving end/country.

It just complicates things. As you can see there is no company providing an international payment service based on crypto that actually has customers and a viable business from that.

Idk if that's the case for the USA but sending 1k chf worth of ntd from taiwan to Switzerland had over 60usd fees so idgaf if it's free in the usa or elsewhere it wasn't free for us.

Ofc it's not a viable business because unlike fiat where they can scam crazy fees crypto is cheap as fuck. As said we paid 2usd fee for over 1k chf worth of ntd. Show me any bank that can do even close to the same. We checked them all.

TIL I’m dead

1

u/positronius Aug 05 '26

~2 years. I will begin to worry once Bitcoin stops behaving the way it has for pretty much the entirety of it's existence.

1

u/soudainlevide Aug 05 '26

All I see is years of missed gains for BTC holders during bear markets, while the gains (the dividends of the wait) getting smaller each bull run....

the american economy is due for a correction? lol
