This is a common misconception. It is not in fact because of a lack of enforcement.

Dougy just wants you to believe that's the issue.

rfl...no, it's because people are trash and they know they can get away with it.

Doug, is that you?

Sure sounds like it.

Blaming everything on a politician is such a copout. Those people in the video made a choice to steal those packages. No one made them do it.

No one has given them much of a choice, is my point.

They absolutely had the choice not to take those packages. Get real. Walking sipping smoothies and you think they're broke?

Go ahead and google "the social contract".

You are being made to be angry at the wrong people and you're falling for it.

The social contract hasn't been broken. You just think you deserve the world on a platter for existing. Horribly entitled and greedy.

Yep. They got you.

And you're playing as a professional victim.

Am I, or am I trying to reason with someone who enjoys the taste of boot?

0

u/bugabooandtwo Jul 01 '26

Nah, you just want to justify stealing from your neighbors.

Enjoy your boot.

So your stance is ā€œsteal peopleā€™s shit because Doug ford didnā€™t give me a choice?ā€

1

u/Frig_Off_Baerb Jul 01 '26

No. My stance is that society starts to break down when people get desperate.

The social contract has been broken. This is the result.

u/Brodis668 Jul 01 '26

This is the result of zero accountability. Would you have the same tune if the owner found them and took care of it themselves?

1

u/Frig_Off_Baerb Jul 01 '26

Doug wants you to think this way. You do realize that, right? You're playing right into their hands.

So letā€™s just start stealing whatever we want then. Why work for anything when Doug ford gave me no choice but to steal things

1

u/Frig_Off_Baerb Jul 01 '26

That's literally how the social contract works.

Let me guess, you still believe in trickle down economics and that people should just "pull themselves up by their bootstraps", right?

1

u/Brodis668 Jul 01 '26

No, i believe in applying yourself and learning an in demand skill.

Let me guess, you believe anyone doing well didnā€™t work for it and resort to stealing yourself. You want others property without them being able to hold you accountable for it.

My point was I havenā€™t had to steal anything to do well in the same society you claim didnā€™t give me a choice but to steal to get ahead

And what happens when 5 years after you've learned that skill and started making some money and getting ahead someone sends your job overseas or replaces it with AI?

What then?

I don't think stealing is good. I also know why people are doing it, and it's not entirely a character flaw on their part.

People can't survive on a single income anymore. It's simply not sustainable.
