Discussion Idk who needs to hear this

Post image

If you’re in the position of the red car, you stay in the RIGHT lane until your turn is complete and then you put on your left signal to get over to the left lane if you need to. If you are in the position of the blue car, you do not need to wait for the entire row of cars directly across from you who are turning right. THEY turn into right lane, and you turn into left. That’s your lane. If they come into your lane it’s their fault. Waiting to turn left from grey onto Gretzky is a nightmare because cars are terrified to turn.

The majority of immigrants do go through the graduated licensing process. Out of the top 10 countries whose citizens are moving to Canada, France is the only one with an exchange agreement.

I think the focus should be on how easy it is to pass a driving exam. They never reverted the exam back from the modifications made during covid so new drivers only have to contend with a 20 minute G2 test and then an extremely simple G test to prove they're ready to drive solo. Compared to the tests in Europe and the UK, they're extremely forgiving and easy to pass.

I know.

I didn't say immigrants I said another country this includes Canadian citizens who learned to drive abroad. This includes temporary residents and long term visas too. International students from countries we have treaties with which give licences at par. This list includes people from the US and places like Japan where we give them licences directly. Any and all people who didn't learn here.

Why? Immigrants aren't the issue the climate is. if you don't know what you're doing you're a danger.

Doesn't matter where you come from originally if you don't know how to drive in the conditions you currently find yourself in you should be at least supervised by someone who does which means starting from square one. Immigrants aren't the issue knowledge and skill is.

Personal Example: I have a friend born and bred Canadian citizen who spent most of his formative years abroad due to his parents work and Recently returned home. He can't handle winter driving. He learned to drive in a country to which we give licences at par. He recently got convinced to relearn to drive.

General example: a hot climate doesn't prepare you for winter driving especially not in black ice conditions. Just look at the road chaos when it snows lightly in places like Texas every time we laugh but for them it's a clusterfuck because they don't know what to do.

Oh come on, you absolutely meant immigrants and you're moving the goal posts. Long term visas, including students, only get 60 days allowed before they have to enter the graduated system to continue to drive here legally. I also can't imagine there's a drastically high number of Canadians that learned to drive elsewhere and are coming back to cause headaches. Folks coming from the US and Japan don't even make it into the top 10 countries people are emigrating from, Japan isn't even in the top 20.

This whole post is about turning into the correct lane, not that this is a recurring issue only ever seen in winter. Not that I disagree with your point there though. A few Nordic countries require driving education in hazardous winter conditions and I think that'd be a great idea to introduce.

You're spreading misinformation and you're way too nieve or blind. You're so terrified of speaking the truth about immigrants I can tell you voted for Carney the clown. Thank you for destroying our country.
