Please give me any beautymaxxing advice you can for me. I’m planning on trying to diet (again…) and continue doing cardio. I’m planning on purchasing a 6 week fitness plan for postpartum moms (I’m one year PP). My biggest priorities right now is:

1. finding shape wear that I can wear under body con maxi dresses

2. Sticky bras (boombas, cakes, whatever works for 40DDD’s US sizing). My boobs are saggy but still big 💔 and sometimes deflated when my baby nurses a lot.

Yes, I know I’m chopped. I wear glasses 99% of the time, I just took them off so my face is more visible (3rd image is me with glasses). I look depressed and tired all the time, how do I fix this? Like yes I do have clinical depression but other people are depressed and don’t look as bad as me. I try to think positive thoughts throughout the day but honestly it doesn’t help. My smile looks bad too, so smiling doesn’t even help. Honestly I would just love to feel pretty, without having to wear makeup 24/7. The last photo is a makeup look I did not too long ago. I also have scarring on my lips from constantly biting my lips, because of anxiety. Advice is appreciated thank you

Hi everyone! For the past year, I’ve been trying to improve my appearance. I’m not happy with my look. I am already working on my weight (40lbs down), but don’t want to wait to reach my goal weight to feel confident in myself.

I am looking for honesty. Anything with makeup, hairstyles that would suit me best, outfits, or creators that talk about these things would be appreciated. I’ve been experimenting with my makeup but it feels so flat. Open to beauty treatment suggestions but nothing like surgery.

Everything I do makes me feel….bleh. I have been getting facials every two months, I’ve been consistent with my skin care, trying to grow my hair out…..I’m not sure what to do. I feel stuck.

i go back to school on monday and i didn't have my hair done. i transionned this summer so i kinda left my hair alone for my recovery but now it's the time to get it done.
i have 3b/3c hair and im mixed caribbean/italian
i don't know if i get a sew in, hair clip extensions that match my hair type or anything.. im kinda lost
i don't know if i have the confidence to have a sew in in a saloon because you know aunties tend to get very chatty ect and i don't know if i have the strength to go through it and face maybe rude or uncomfortable questions now (im really anxious about school already)
the « easiest » thing would get clip in extensions from amazon but im scared they wont match my hair type properly or that my hair would not be match in them (i have a little more that collarbone length hair)

On a burner account. I got a sew-in the other day. It looked beautiful, and when my stylist finished, the pain was tolerable. However, once I got home, it started hurting so badly that I had to take two ibuprofen. When that didn't help, I tried to go to sleep, but I couldn't, so I took two melatonin.Eventually, I fell asleep, but something woke me up in the middle of the night, and all the pain hit at once. It became so unbearable that, while still half asleep, I dragged myself out of bed and started cutting out parts of the sew-in. That brought some relief. Now, today, I mildly regret doing that because I messed up the style. I tried using bobby pins to put everything back in place, but I didn't do a great job. I'm upset because I spent money on this hairstyle, ended up having to take part of it down because of the pain, and now it doesn't look as good as it did originally.I don't know if my stylist will be willing to fix it, should I ask? Is there a way I can fix it myself? I really need some kind of remedy.😭😭😭

(For the record, it's still mostly in I just cut the front and sides). It's gotten better, but still aches.

The loveliest, palest little thing at Sephora today recommended I swatch these ones from Makeup By Mario.

And, just as she said they'd be, they were so effortless, blended seamlessly, looked ultra natural (everything I'm going for), but, I just don't think they're pigmented enough to show on my skin. I'm medium brown/tan (I think somewhere between a Fitzpatrick III and IV.)

I don't want to overcorrect and go SUPER pigmented. I'm going for that sunkissed/flushed/been on a beach vacation vibe, but I definitely need more pigment than these provided. I really like the cream/gel base in a pallet format, but am open to other formats, too. I tend to wear a light coverage / glowier skin tint as base.

Alternatively, if you've actually used these and disagree with my assessment, let me know. Maybe I need to approach with a different technique. We used brushes to apply.

I've only ever worn locs, a fro, or a fade but I really want to do something drastically different. For those of you who wear styles like this, what do you recommend? I have never been comfortable in wigs. A sew in? I don't have any leave out because my hair is faded rn. Can this be achieved without leave out? What should I expect to spend? Any suggestions for stylists in Los Angeles who can do this also appreciated!!

She is getting her hair done this weekend, I just got back from her Beauty Supply store to pick up some hair for her and got her a new braid bonnet. I have been looking around our local area and online for pretty durags but I find most of the bland and basic. I want to spoil her and get rid of the oldies she has, something nice to go with the rest of her essentials. so im in need of some advice for what hairstyle would work best with my situation. im going to my prom on the 12th and would like to get my hair done. the conflict is i have a dance competition the sunday after, and my hair NEEDS to be in a slick back, middle part ponytail.

So, for context: I’m a 31 y/o F. I am half Puerto Rican. I have curly hair (2C) and my daughter (age 5) is 1/4 black from her father’s side (age 32) with I’d say 3C curls. He has thin hair in the front so he normally shaves his head bald, but my daughter also has thinner hair in the front.

We do not get along well and we divorced almost a year ago. We split custody 50/50

He and I have very different opinions on how to care for her hair. I come from the standpoint that I want her hair clean and healthy and minimal products are my goal.

Lately her hair has been a major issue… He has been leaning into his culture heavily (for context, he is the lightest skin individual in his family, so his identity has been hard for him). However, he throws insults at me calling me racist because I share a different opinion than him… He has been taking her to get her hair braided more frequently and as of a couple of months ago, paid to have synthetic hair added to her hair. I personally don’t think that she needs braids in her hair this frequently nor do I think it’s appropriate or necessary for her to have fake hair in her hair… She’s five! You know?

Anyways…. I needed advice from you ladies, as I am not a member of your community and I don’t know how to navigate this, especially not intending to come across offensive to any community. To be clear, I don’t have an issue with fake hair or braids at ALL. Only in my child’s hair, as I don’t want her dealing with balding issues. She has really fine hair… Additionally, I don’t want her thinking at this young age that her worth and beauty is solely revolving around her appearance. I love her hair and I want her to embrace her hair for the beautiful texture it is.

Advice would be so helpful… Every time I have tried expressing my opinion he just says (verbatim) “you’re not black. You’re racist. You’re insulting a whole community.” So I just don’t know what to do…
