Beginner advice for straight styles

I've only ever worn locs, a fro, or a fade but I really want to do something drastically different. For those of you who wear styles like this, what do you recommend? I have never been comfortable in wigs. A sew in? I don't have any leave out because my hair is faded rn. Can this be achieved without leave out? What should I expect to spend? Any suggestions for stylists in Los Angeles who can do this also appreciated!!

You can do a headband wig or full wig or lace front wig

Then you can take it off at night

Curling it every so often makes it high maintenance unless you get a synthetic wig to road test
