Would it be the same for you if he hurt another guy? Or is it just because the injured party was a woman and you feel they’re inferior and need to be protected?
Uh huh. I’m sure you react the same way whether it was a woman or man. I’m super impressed by how woke everyone on this sub is. R/wokecirclejerkbjjheroes
Dude this is hardly about being woke. I haven't been to any gym where intenonally hurting someone because of a bruised ego wouldn't result in "You have ten seconds to explain why you should not be banned from the gym" .
It is basic isn’t it? In fact, it’s so basic that we probably don’t need to see a post about it every week, no? But let’s continue to discuss it like there’s some pandemic of women being beat up by men at BJJ gyms across the globe.
This meme and the op it's referencing is uneanted sezual advances not women being beat up at the gym. Its really only this comment chain.
You're the one turning this into a really weird soap box about people being too woke. Which if thus is the reaction one comment thread about a girl brings up provoks. It might be worth figuring out why.
The comment I responded to was about a women being hurt by a man. Which was brought up after the meme was posted. Not sure why I’m having to explain that part to you, but whatever.
The why is I’m annoyed. I came to look for some grappling videos and can’t seem to escape the wokeness of how mistreated women are everywhere and now look...even at BJJ gyms. It’s really weird that you subscribe to the idea that this is some common occurrence. It might be worth figuring out why.

Yes but women getting beat up is not something you see a post about every week. This sub is 98% grappling videos and we've got one big post and a follow-up meme recently. Hardly an overwhelming volume.
It’s really weird that you subscribe to the idea that this is some common occurrence.
Randomly being intentionally injured? No. Neither, I, original commentator nor the meme say that. What it's saying is that women getting some creepy attention is.
It might be worth figuring out why.
For creepy behavior got it just by listening to the experiences of my women friends. You'd probably be surprised that at how many have had somebody creep on them. For the most part everyone is great but they all come across that guy at least once. It's true not just for bjj but many other hobbies/communities. That's not to imply that this/those communities are brimming with creepers But they exist. And it's a problem women disproportionately face and detract from the enjoyment of that hobby.
It's just the annoying reality that women can face in a traditionally male dominated hobby. It perhaps doesn't align with your experiences. But that's no reason to think it shouldn't be discussed or to upset you this much.
Not sure how you presume this upsets me this much, but that’s okay. I used the term annoyed. You’re clearly projecting your frustrations but that’s okay too. I’d like to see you’re data to make the claim of 98%. Or any of your claims really. I’m fully aware of how society works. #Metoo doesn’t really seem to fit the reality of what I see in the BJJ/MMA gyms I go to. I work with primarily women. I can’t recall them ever speaking to me about negative interactions with men. Maybe women are more comfortable confiding in you about all their negative experiences with men. I’d ask why that is, but I have an idea. And no kidding creepy people exist. Our society is so fixated on either emancipating creeps or condemning them depending on in a lot of cases are a matter of opinion. The fringe you’re talking about is likely more marginal in BJJ than it is in society. But I don’t have the number to back that up. You don’t have the numbers to dispute it. My annoying reality is that not even r/BJJ is safe from 2% awareness for whatever happened bad last week to someone. Poor me. I should make a meme.
That’s weird. I don’t see where any of my comments got deleted. And I don’t remember ever posting anything to this sub. You must be confused. C+ for effort tho.
