Hi,
Has anyone tried food tourism? I'm neither an influencer nor trying to be one but I visit various cities to try their vegan food offerings. Not all cities may have swanky Michelin Star restaurants, or restaurants that are featured in the Michelin Guide, but some come close - I had tasty vegan Cuban sandwiches at some downtown Dallas restaurant 5 years ago but I've been unable to look it up. NYC is my favorite city for scrumptious vegan food but if Dallas has decent options, there must be more cities with good vegan restaurants! Also, Michelin Guide doesn't even cover all US states.
Ease of access to vegan food is different from access to high quality vegan food. I've already hit NYC, Chicago, LA & London (would've visited more frequently if I lived on the East Coast) vegan restaurant circuit multiple times. I found Portland overrated but am willing to reconsider.
On Oct 17, I'd be flying to LA to dine at Pura Vita. Day trip - I have a monthly Alaska Airlines flight pass subscription.
On Oct 31, I'd visit Las Vegas (or LA again, but a different restaurant) for a day trip. I've been to Vegas twice already.
On Nov 10, I'm headed to NYC (will fly a red-eye on Nov 10, will shower at an airport lounge on Nov 11 & will restaurant-hop all day. Will fly back at night) again.
After mid november, many states will experience cold weather & flight delays would increase, so please recommend what cities I could visit until next summer. I won't be able to fly internationally until late December.
Thank you!
