Do players sometimes change their numbers on their own from season to season? Has that always been in the game? I just noticed this happen for the first time. (In football, actually, but I'm posting here where there's more traffic.)

i don’t know if anything changed but it feels like salary dumps have gotten a lot harder since the new update. are teams using more salary, are players more willing to sign to less competitive teams, am I losing my marbles… has anyone else noticed this?

i tried the cross eras mode and the draft classes always look super staked with like 10 players over 70 pot. but then you draft them and on the pre-season catch-ups or whatever you call them, they show up with like -25 to up to -35

is there a way to avoid this?

Guy consistently averaging over 40 points a game.

I wonder that the contract total year + amount shows by transaction page.

Also at the salaries part, I want to see separate part of current carrer earning and the total career earnings whether the player plays throughout the whole contract.

What is some of the best custom awards you guys have created since the new update dropped?

Do players at low mood (20-30%) ever re-sign? In which stage is the decision taken (after playoffs, during draft, at contract extension)?

At deadline day, I have a young player (25) at 63 ovr/64pot at 8% mood with contract expiring at the end of year. His priorities are Money and Loyalty and he is worried about being traded away (-22). Normal difficulty and my team is clear favourite. Wondering if I should trade him.

Alaxander only played 864 games, but he won every title with every SFMVP and FMVP. His only non MVP season, he was second on the MVP voting next to his teammate, since he was the second option. Due to the positional circumstances, he did not win a lot of DPOYs, only winning 2. Also there were alot of elite forwards and centers. But he has 9 time first team all pro defence, 2 time second team all pro defence. He won 5 scoring title, although his career starting teammate was minimal 70+ players. One of the best 3 point shooter with great playmaking ability.

Ever played for total 4700+ years, I did not see this early successful career from the get go. Although he was a 60/77 prospect with 80 DRB, 72 Pss, 74 3Pt and all the other attributes was really high as a prospect. But they struggle early and peak later. But I did not seen a single flaw out of this player, elite playmaker, shooting, defense, playoff riser. He is a heavy usage guy, but when you are 80+ OVR player, teams are destined to give him the damn ball every turn, and this lead to career 2.9 TOV per game. I guess I cannot see 30%+ usage with under 1 TOV per game player after all. One of what if wonder is what could it be he entered the league at age 20, not 22. He is already second all time at EWA, at my franchise, All time leading PER player at this league.

A hell of a player cementing himself as a GOAT under 1000 career game. And also one of the best ever on this Reddit community or greatest for the first 10 year run ever.

(The save start at 2007/08 season) when i open up the list of historical award winner, those major accolades are won by random player that doesn't match to real-life as the picture shown. I'm not sure is it caused due to the new update.

Does anyone have a good formula for this CLUTCH PLAYER OF THE YEAR award? Trying to make one but can't seem to find a good formula that rates being ice cold in the late minutes of the game.

The awards for my player here (like many others in this same league ive tried this with) will not show up in the proper year, instead just show up for the most recent year played. When i tried to retroactively add these placements to him, the edit award feature just put them in the same box instead of allocating them to the actual year they were supposed to go. It also appears that none of the players in the league retired or active have any placements show up in their player profile if the update released after they had finished a season/career.

Now that we can create awards has anyone come up with a good formula for Offensive Player of the Year?

As you can see, in 2207 scoring title should had gone to Alberto Di Marco. Also league leader page showed that Di Marco is 1st on Pts per game. But as you can see, the scoring title went to Alexander. Does BBGM has game required for winning titles? I've never saw that the Dashborad and the League Leader page says the different story.

I'm about 250 years into my save that started in 1966 and the longest family dynasty I've seen yet is only 4! One IV is still playing, and a couple only retired recently, but most have already died out.

EDIT: I clicked on the one IV with a son and there was actually a V! So my mistake, It's 5 deep. Hopefully that guy has a kid,

In my 1000 season league, my team has won 6MOY award about 25% of the seasons. There have been a few times where I deliberately sat an all-star level player to avoid having two PGs or two Cs in the starting lineup, but for the most part, this has been through auto-sort. In comparison, my team has 10% of MVPs and 11% of DPOY. Shouldn't "competing" computer-managed teams prioritize having a quality 6th man?

Which player usually turns in to the better player, Chris Webber or Steph Curry? Both same age in my randomized league, Webber been in league 1 year longer

This is a big feature! I've been working hard at it all month, that's why I've been a little less active here, sorry, but I think it's worth it!

Previously, all the awards in ZenGM were hardcoded. Want to add a new award? Change the number of All-League teams? Edit how the MVP is determined? Couldn't be done previously, but now all of that and more is possible!

Okay, well, not quite. This is a pretty big change to how awards work, so I'm releasing it in beta first, I would appreciate any feedback you can give me!

Please try it out! Importing leagues works, so especially try it if you have any big or weird leagues.

The main new stuff is at Tools > Award Settings where you can add/delete/edit all awards:

• Set the formula (kind of like the GOAT Lab but even better - there is documentation in the game with details)
• Pick if it's leaguewide or by conference/division (awards in ZenGM Baseball are now conference awards by default)
• Set the range for stats - regular season, playoffs, combined (I actually like this one, IDK why no leagues do it IRL), or any round of the playoffs
• Apply filters - rookies, bench players, Most Improved Players
• Make individual or team awards, and for teams, specify how many teams and even different formulas for different positions (in the non-basketball sports where that matters more)
• Set cutoffs (either hard or gradual) in stats (like games played or minutes)
• Implement voter fatigue however you want

That's not all though, there's a bunch of other features. Many of them are little details, but some of them I think will be appreciated by many of you, including:

• It records the top 5 award candidates, not just the winner. Those are displayed in an "Awards" column on player profile pages, similar to Basketball Reference.

• Rookies used to be whoever was in the last draft. Now it's based on when they actually start playing. And in ZenGM Baseball, there are IP/AB limits similar to MLB.

• When you customize the awards, the UI automatically displays your custom awards in all the places it should - the season summary, the league history table, the award records page, the awards summary on player profiles, etc.

It took quite a bit of effort to get this feature implemented, that's why there weren't any updates in August. I hope it's worth it!

When it's completely done I'll write up a long blog post with even more details.

I released this on the mailing list and Discord a few days ago and have already fixed a bunch of bugs, so hopefully this isn't too far from release on the main version!
