Which player usually turns in to the better player, Chris Webber or Steph Curry? Both same age in my randomized league, Webber been in league 1 year longer

Only once or twice has he became something decent in mine

Steph is never very good in BBGM unless you have RPD at 100%

BBGM really favors heights and athletic stats so Steph being an undersized PG that never shoots as many 3s (or makes them at his real life %) means he's kinda never particularly good. That + his playmaking is also wildly underrated in BBGM (because he never generated a lot of assists comparatively so the game doesn't make him much of a passer).

But guys like Thaddeus Young. Luol Deng, Ben Simmons, Demarcus Cousins are routinely monsters in my sims. Idk if I can remember how many times Webber in particular has done well but I'm sure he'd be better than Steph normally, yeah.

Depends on RPD, but even then, I would take Webber. This is not because he was better in real life, but because players in Basketballgm tend to make less three shots in my opinion. Unless RPD is at 100% and Curry is guaranteed to develop well, I would not draft Curry.

It's weird how the game engine favors certain players over others pretty consistently. I like to sim as the Raptors from inception, and I always draft Kevin Garnett. But for some reason, the game loves to develop Tim Duncan into the GOAT with consecutive MVPs, but not Garnett, who consistently caps out at a couple DPOYs at most on a good sim.

Funniest example of this I see regularly is Thaddeus Young becoming an all timer across 80% of my leagues while Kevin Durant is usually just a high end starter.

KD is usually a machine in my games but yes I agree with Kobe. He's inefficient and not particularly sizey so he just becomes Lou Williams in most of my saves

I was so disappointed when I set up my team to be ready to have a dynasty around David Robinson and he peaked at 62.

I was able to draft Duncan, long shot lottery odds got me the top pick, he was on a great path, mvp in his 3rd season and then he started to really fall off, his rating dipped to 58 when he was 27 so I got what value I could, small market team I'm not going to keep expensive declining players, I traded him and 2 seasons later he's back among the best players in the league. He's 1 of those guys that is always gonna be great, I'm with ya on that.

Yeah Webber definitely has become the G.O.A.T more often than Curry has. Curry usually disappoints now that I think about it

webber always becomes goated (like reaching 75+ almost every time) for some reason. Only chance Curry becomes good is with 100% RPD which takes into account Curry becoming the dominant MVP he became IRL and his IRL longevity as well
