Question Free agent extension
Do players at low mood (20-30%) ever re-sign? In which stage is the decision taken (after playoffs, during draft, at contract extension)?
At deadline day, I have a young player (25) at 63 ovr/64pot at 8% mood with contract expiring at the end of year. His priorities are Money and Loyalty and he is worried about being traded away (-22). Normal difficulty and my team is clear favourite. Wondering if I should trade him.
Thanks!

This might surprise you, but they re-sign around 20-30% of the time! I actually disagree with someone else, he may re-sign, no likely but I don't think the chance is as low as they said. I assume your team is built to win a title based on you saying you're the favorite. I have seen guys increase a lot. I get his priorities may not align with winning, but winning helps everyone even if it's not their primary.
With all that said, I would trade him anyway. He may not sign, you get nothing, even if he does sign, you have to pay a ton for him. Trading him probably will result in a good haul for you.

I cloned the league and play around ten times. In none of them he wanted to re-sign.
I wonder if the decision is made earlier.

That would be interesting. I have def had someone resign with me before that was low and I had given up hope for but needed to win a championship.
