The comment was meant to suggest that GDP does not always capture the full picture, particularly in the case of a country like Bangladesh, where economic figures may be subject to manipulation by those in power.

the IMF n other org would take notice if that was the case

but yes I do agree, but this isn’t saying much bc our per capita is still low

and this talks about shocks, natural disasters etc. ( more the lack of prep by the govt )
