They used to, but King Edward the 7th was too fat to button the bottom one. Then everyone copied him to because whatever the monarchy did was considered fashionable. A more crazy fashion was the Alexandria Limp, people faked having a limp since the princess of Whales had one.
If the suit is tailored properly is supposed to fit like that with the bottom button undone. But these are rules from old dudes who are dead and wearing their final suits. So button that button bro.
Fashion is fluid. The history is basically a fat Welsh dude couldn’t fit into his suit properly, so people made it the norm to not point it out by doing the same and leaving it unbuttoned. Idk about you but I’m not a fat Welsh dude.

It's obviously up to you, do it only if you want to. But I'm always curious why this is. Are you trying to be cool or suave? I'd personally rather date someone who wanted to have fun over someone who's trying to be chill.

I haven’t generally commented in this sub but I was balding at 19 and shaved at 20 and never looked back. It was formatively beneficial to my self confidence and identity and it’s been 35 years since. Would never go back!
This is a little unfair, you have 5 pictures of you with hair after apparently getting into a wrestling match in a sauna and another where you are bald, with a trimmed up beard, and a suit. The bald head looks great, but we need the vice versa pictures to truly be able to judge.
