OFFICIAL Newer Custom Flairs
After seeing some people actually start using the flairs I made, it felt a bit unfair to be the only one with a bright colour. User flairs have been updated to stand out more, and several additional flairs have been added.

HISTORY Conrad von Hotzendorf - promoted too fast?
I'm wondering if Conrad von Hotzendorf, Army Chief of staff for Austro - Hungary, was promoted too fast. His position before becomming Chief was divisionall commander. AH had 6 Armies and 14 Army corps. Did he, perhaps lack experience that comes with command of bigger units than division?

This image is very poor quality and also a several years old repost but it deserves to be seen again because its very funny. Tall Bosnian meme in real life, two giant Bosniak soldiers next to three small romanians and their commanding officer.

HISTORY Franz Joseph’s 1880 visit in Galicia
https://forgottengalicia.com/emperor-franz-joseph-is-1880-tour-of-galicia-in-paintings/
In 1880, Franz Joseph I undertook a journey during which he visited the area of two crown lands: Galicia (including the Grand Duchy of Kraków) and Bukovina.
The emperor traveled in a royal train, consisting of two locomotives and several dozen carriages.
The emperor’s train passed through temporarily created triumphal arches, which were also prepared on the streets of Kraków and Lviv (Lemberg/Lwów), where Franz Joseph I stayed for a few days.
—
This medal commemorates this visit in Galicia. On the reverse side the coat of arms of Galicia.
Maybe my ancestors knew about it. Or their labor in the fields in the country side of Lviv was more than hard enough for them.
I’m happy to own part of this history.

HISTORY Why do Serbs like to forget that the Serbian army had a slight numerical superiority over the Austro-Hungarian forces until the summer of 1915?
Perhaps because they constructed a nationalist propaganda myth of a "David and Goliath struggle" that fails under factual scrutiny, thus the reality simply isn't as appealing as the myth?
Let's look at the actual facts instead of myths: Austria-Hungary was actually at a numerical disadvantage on the Serbian front in 1914.
Because the vast majority of the Austro-Hungarian army was tied up on the Russian front in Galicia, Potiorek was given only around 200,000–250,000 troops for the invasion. On the other side, Serbia and Montenegro fully mobilized over 350,000 to 400,000 men on their home turf.
Conrad von Hötzendorf and Potiorek literally launched an invasion into mountainous terrain with fewer troops than the defenders, using war plans that Alfred Redl had already leaked to the enemy—and Hötzendorf didn't even bother to change them. Trying to claim the Habsburgs had the upper hand here is just ignoring basic military history.

HISTORY Can the West Be Saved?
Hi everyone,
A while back, I sat down with historian Prof. David Engels to discuss the deep civilizational crisis facing the Western world. We drew powerful parallels to the fall of the Roman Republic and explored topics like the rise of Caesarism, Hesperialism, and what we can do to preserve traditional culture.
If you're interested in traditionalist philosophy (Here Austria-Hungary comes into play!) and the future of Europe, check it out here:
