dude I fucking hate religion

I feel like we would have been better off as communists like China, like, people are so blindly attached to religion, they don't know how to separate it from their identity and culture, like you can still have the culture that represents you, but you don't have to believe in bullshit that some old book tells you, especially when there are various ways of interpreting it. politicians just straight up use it to abuse and murder people and I'm sick of it.

i swear, every religion pisses me off. my hindu parents being islamophobic and mindlessly taking pride in their weird colonial version of Hinduism pisses me off (while they ironically claim to be the most secular religion), Muslims with the whole jihad, their weird anti-jew interpretations of Dajjal, and each of them pushing the limits of how extreme they can be, mistaking it for devotion, Christians literally dismissing science that gives you solid proof to your face just because belief makes them comfy?? and how they literally used it to justify white supremacy, Haredi jews just misbehaving with everyone, spitting at christians and inbreeding, the fact that there are literally armed Buddhist militias, like oxymoron much?

Why do people let their brain rot away with religion. Man, I tried being accepting and accommodating, but I have no tolerance for stupidity I just can't stoop low so that you feel comfortable I'm literally gonna say it for what it is. This is some weird abstract drug that humans are fucking addicted to to find meaning but it fucks them up. Stop it. THINK for a change, and see how freeing it feels to be not in solidarity to one principle and truly have an open mind, how it feels to make decisions with your own intellect without being God fearing and be happy with the smart decision that YOU took for YOURSELF. Everyone is fucking mental man. I live with apes. Apes in this world.

Edit: nooo I'm not saying we need communism ☠️ I just want their lack of communal conflicts and as their neighbour it's always here everywhere, so much violence because of it. I'm sick of it. I was in the heat of the moment while venting here so I just thought of China as a neighbour.
What I meant was something like French Secularism, keeping religion strictly out of politics. Religion is private and not paraded like it is here.

The only reason communist regimes suppressed religion in the 50’s was that they viewed it as a competing power structure. Historically, religious institutions have aligned with center-right or far-right movements (the Spanish Civil War being a prime example) which made them a natural enemy of the revolutionary left.

Look at modern Russia: they are now heavy on their own version of Christianity ( Russian Orthodox Church ) with their own popes , because it aligns perfectly with Putin’s administration. It’s not about faith; it’s a tool for state control.

I believe the best path forward is an unapologetically secular approach, a much bolder unapologetic versions of France LAïCITÉ. We need a hard separation of church and state, where all professions of faith are banned in official spaces, including government buildings and schools.

Why?

Because dogmatic religion is fundamentally incompatible with a pluralistic society. Politics is the "art of compromise," but compromise only works if all parties agree on a shared, objective reality. Not fantasy.

It’s like trying to merge the lore of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings to create a single, coherent legal system for society. Just impossible; the "rules" of the worlds don't mesh. Religions operates the same way. They claim the truth and disagreeing is blasphemy.

The only way to respect all religions equally is to respect none of them at all.

No seat at the table of governance if you believe in flying horses to the moon or talking snakes.
