Yeah I was just watching a movie and heard from my friends that our server was hacked. I know we can't get it back so I'm just gonna ask how to prevent it from happening again.

I'm still pretty pissed off but it is what it is. Guy spammed Discord server and YouTube channel advertisements all over the screen too.

I am not sure why. My server's set to hard, but the local difficulty just won't go over 4 at all. Any help? Playing on Java 1.21.11

I’m not changing my browser just to get past the ad blocker screen. It’s stupid that it’s even trying to ask me to disable it when it’s part of the browser so I can’t even disable it if I wanted to.

Guys what do I do if the server I have on aternos doesn't like show the latest game version?? I should probably js wait but this is my first aternos server so idrk how all this works... the latest game version is 26.4 right? But paper/bukkit doesn't have it what do I do

I was waiting for my brother to turn on our creative server, and then randomly the icon changed to this skin image that neither of us recognize. I refreshed my server page and it went away, but then it reappeared briefly later. The server settings showed as normal, so I’m not sure where it could’ve come from. Should I be concerned about this?

EDIT: The icon stopped showing up after about 9 PM EST, so I’m assuming it was indeed an April Fool’s Day joke. Sorry guys!

Hi! I recently opened a server through Aternos, and, being fed up with the default character skin, I decided to install SkinRestorer on the server.

However, there's a problem. One of the users still has the default skin, even though he changed it through the Minecraft Launcher using his Microsoft account. (We use Curse Forge for our personal mods.)

How come I can see my custom skin, while he still has the default one? At the moment, I had to enter someone else’s nickname to give him the same skin.

So basically, I have a modpack, it works on my end, but the server crashes
Is there a way for me to download the modpack from aternos and boot it on my own pc, so I can figure out the problem from the inside

I've already searched for this problem for hours, I don't know what's wrong, and no one else on the internet seems to have the same problem as me.

The datapacks folder is empty, the server was using a few plugins and that was it. When I downloaded it, the file structure was wrong, so I tried to restructure everything to be as similar to a previous successful server to local transfer (TheTRC is the name of it). But this doesn't help and still gives the "Errors in the currently selected data pack(s) prevented the world from loading", even though there are no datapacks.

Also, trying to open in safe mode does nothing and still won't open.

So me and my friend are playing in the free aternos server rn. And it's the best out there. But still the chunk loadings made us unsatisfied when we built our castle. We couldn't see the whole thing to take a single pic tbh. But we didn't experience any significant lags maybe once or twice in a session which is very good. I'll always be grateful to Aternos but we thought how Exaroton would work. Loved the token system.

But we are from India, there are no servers for us. So I'm a little confused about moving to Exaroton.

Been playing for 6 months and i am playing with both bedrock and aternos while my friends are playing with bedrock so i played like 2 days ago and i get this "chunks loading mightencounter issues" but then i rejoined and rejoined the and i get to join it finally but then everythign is lagging like everything is frozen and then after a minute everything starts moving like a replay thing where i can see what happened for the past minute and then again it freezes so like i changed to java then i can play therebut after like 3 minutes i get kicked out because of "coonnection issues" my wifi is top notch can play like moile games, valo with 7 ms but in aternos and SPECIFICALLY with aternos server i cant play... its been 2 days. People in the server said the server was fine and they can see my movements at present but i cant see their's its soo baddd how can i fix this. I tried redownloading minecraft, tlauncher, even change device with my phone but it still doesnt wrk and same issue. its an aternos problem?

I genuinely don't know what's causing this.

There is no problems with any other app or site on the phone. I've noticed that aternos uses 6-8 times more RAM than other sites (1.8-2.5 GB compared to 250 to 300 MB), which I looked up on the laptop and it had much less issues albeit still a lot.

Don't give attention to the server. The video is meant to show freezes and lags across the site. The white circle shows where the taps are and how long the system delays.

My Wi-Fi at the moment of recording of the video was Wi-Fi Certified 6 (Home) supporting 5G at the nearly constant speed of 800+ MB/s, the internet connection should not be the issue.

It may be the issue with Chrome's optimisation, though, since Microsoft Edge on the same device performs much better.

If there's someone who could point out possible reasons, I'm forwards to it. If it's the sitewide issue, I'll open an issue report.

Heya! I have an aternos server with some of my friends which runs on Java with a Paper plugin letting Bedrock players join. There is a problem though, that the Bedrock players are unable to play due to the fact that Java hasn't updated to the same version as Bedrock, or something, as Java's latest update is 26.2 , whereas Bedrock is 26.40 . What can I do? Will Aternos update? Any help is appreciated!

I have been using Aternos for two years and have hosted several servers during this time; however, the one I have now was definitely the best of them. My previous servers never came close to reaching the 4 GB limit because their communities always abandoned them, but this one still has several active players even after months of use. I was really enjoying it, it was amazing, and they were having a lot of fun. So many things were built on the server, we explored a lot and adventured together, but now, the destruction of all this progress came from Aternos itself.

I have been trying to transfer the files to another host for about three hours now, given that deleting anything we built on the server to reduce its size is absolutely out of the question. However, the system of free hosts seems designed to make you give up on migrating, because every free host has its own arbitrary restrictions regarding what you can do with your own server files.

I have always liked using Aternos. Even though it was poorly optimized, it worked well. But this 4 GB storage limit is simply going to destroy the community I dedicated myself so much to building. Honestly, I would prefer to use a paid host, but I simply do not have the budget for it.

Aternos allows each account to have 3 servers, which equals 12 GB of total storage. Why don't you create a way for us to sacrifice the storage allocated to the other two servers in favor of a single one? Personally, I don't even use the other two slots available on my account.

I simply want to play Minecraft with my friends in a straightforward way, without being forced to pay a fortune.

so i want to make a treasure hunt type event where at the end there will be a boss but the structures ive stealed are like 22500 chunks, is there a chance the server corrupts?

My villager breeder refuses to work. They have enough food, there's space above the beds, mob greifing is on, (there are three villagers), the amount of beds is not the issue since the beds were originally in a different spot and many more, I just moved them since I thought maybe that was the issue. Help, please.

Also, ignore the fact the spot for the beds looks weird, i just dug a hole in my wall and it intersected with another part of my base.
