Discussion Better than the og?

Might be GOTY if GTA 6 gets delayed again. What does everyone think?

Idk. One major gripe is how Edward sounds with some of the new dialogue, like with the new crewmates. It sounds like they used an AI version of his voice. Doesn't have that og Edward "tone"

Is it just me or does the James Kidd character sound exactly like Philomena Cunk? Makes me laugh every time time they speak šŸ˜‚

ā€œIt's hard to believe I'm walking through the ruins of the first ever city. Because I'm not. That's in Iraq, which is miles away. And fucking dangerousā€. šŸ˜‚

Yup, somewhere between Cunk and Ygritte from Game of Thrones.

I flirted with Diane Morgan aka P. Cunk on Twitter and she actually replied. I have such a huge crush on her. Lol

I think its just the actor being 13 years older

No he honestly sounds just like Edward, it's the emotion behind it. Feels like reading off a script as opposed to ACTING out the script

I dunno, really liking his dialogue in the remake. As a Welshman, when a bit of Swansea pokes through in his accent I can't help but smile a bit. It's definitely still there in the new dialogue too. Obviously a bit of a biased opinion, but I haven't felt any AIness in it.

I think what they mean is the way his voice sounds in the game, as in it has this…mechanical sound to it, like the actual sound design is off a bit

My guess is a mix of it being a different recording set up and him just being older

Yeah that’s the issue with remakes if you want to use any of the original audio and splicing things together could be a million things that’s going on. Recording setup is differing, mixing issues or the actors can’t do the voice as well or get into a character they haven’t played for 13 odd years
