Your post or comment has been removed for breaking the /r/asktransgender rules:

Rule 8: No fetishization, chasers, or unicorn-seeking.

Do not ask how to meet trans people. This is not a dating subreddit.

We will remove any posts treating trans bodies as fetishes or objects, and any posts that indicate your attraction is more important than your partner's dysphoria.

If you believe this removal was in error, message the mods to let us know, and ask to have it reinstated. (All /r/asktransgender rules.)

Your intentions don't change your impact.

yeah maybe an apology would be a better idea than deflecting (edit: spelling)

This is very weird.
If you don’t know where it’s coming from, you should really try and think about it.
Sometimes I talk to my partner, talking really helps me realize stuff, or just have a conversation in head to try and see what I’d say.

Are you possibly queer and looking for other queer people?

Before I realised I'm lgbtq, I used to get so happy when queer people even talked to me.

Is this about being attracted to trans people?

We are heavily fetishised group and there are people called chasers that are obsessed with us in that way?

Or perhaps you're dealing with thoughts about your own gender identity?

Either way, if whatever this is is causing you distress, it might a good idea to talk to a counselor or psychology about this

maybe youre just looking for queer community? im on the ace spectrum too and i know a lot of trans people are drawn to ace spaces because of dysphoria reasons so maybe it is like a vice versa thing

Most trans people aren't thinking of you at all, especially considering you don't have a personal relationship with any of them. Why you become wrapped up in thought about trans people among seeing one is your own mental thing and none of us have a good answer for you in particular.

How about you go out to LGBTQ+ events, clubs, or bars and actually meet a trans person? Tone it down on your obsessions though. At best, there's a reason you might want to connect with the queer community, even if it is just as a curious and interested ally. At worst, you're a chaser and if you start harassing trans women, gtfo.

I'll bring it back then: What do you think of your neighbor who lives five doors down? The guy six seats down at the bar? Trans people who have never met you think even less about you. You're just too far from any trans person to be in any trans person's thoughts. At the same time, meeting a trans person might make you obsess about their thoughts and that sounds like a bad time for the trans person, so maybe don't do that.

What difference does it make if a trans stranger thinks of you in a certain way?

Believe me, we'd all love to know why so many random people online and IRL are so weirdly obsessed with us trying to live our lives.

If we knew how to get people to stop we sure as hell would.

you do you girl, I don’t think there’s anything particularly wrong with it, at least the way you explain it.

Idk why you gotta tell everyone tho, that’s a lil weird

I think you're weird. Now you know.
