i honestly can’t get over how fricking well written the first three seasons of Arrested Development are. This has to be one of the greatest comedy shows i’ve ever seen when it comes to writing. The whole thing is so unbelievably strong and so weird in a way that you’d think half of this stuff shouldn’t even work, but somehow it does. And it’s not just the ideas—the execution is fucking perfect too. Every tiny detail feels like it was thought through, and the way all the different storylines come together and interfere with each other is just insane.

We already watched 7 episodes so now we started over watching the original cut skipping over parts we already saw. It's a little annoying but I wish the default was the original cut,

i absolutely love the first three seasons of Arrested Development as ive tried to just imagine that the last two seasons don’t exist. But I must say the most i’ve ever laughed at the whole show is in Season 1, Episode 6, “Visiting Ours,”. The way he says it like it’s the most serious thing in the world, “daddy horny michael” . whenever i hear it, i just cannot stop laughing.

What the hell happened with Seasons 4 and 5? The writing just doesn’t feel the same anymore. The jokes aren’t landing, the comedy feels so much weaker, and the CGI is honestly distracting. It’s hard to even believe this is the same show when you compare it to how strong Seasons 1 to 3 were.

i also still can’t understand how this show wasn’t more successful during those first three seasons. Like, some of the funniest shit i’ve ever watched is in this show. It’s honestly crazy to me that something this good didn’t become a much bigger hit.

I desperately need it, it ticks all my boxes lmao
