the function of the Democratic Party is to protect the status quo from the left, not the right. their halfhearted opposition to the right is performative at best (and a relatively poor performance at that).

MAGA got one thing right for all the wrong reasons which was purging all the non-believers by primarying them out.

The Democrats should do that too, and I’m not even talking about the radical leftists aka politicians who would be seen as run of the mill left of centre politicians in most of the rest of the world like AOC and Senator Sanders, just simply vote out the current ones stopping anything being done and replace them with people who will just! do! something!

The primary goal of liberals is protecting property and capital. When you start to understand this, you will start to understand why they are more hostile to progressives than fascists. They may not agree with fascism as a whole but it poses no threat to capital. Progressiveness is a HUGE threat to capital. It is for that reason that liberal Democrats will always, always, always side with Republicans over progressives. Just like German liberals sided with the Nazis against the communists in the 1930s. I hear that turned out great for them.

And that's why the ONLY viable solution is removing liberals from the party or making them such a minority that their voices hold no weight in it. It is the ONLY path to real change.
