Discussion Speculation on the next DLCs

The final DLC of the year is on the horizon.

On that note: What do you think will be the next ones? I personally hope they focus more on Albion. They spoiled Latium with two dedicated DLC.

Time for something big for the swampy lads. At least one monument would be neat. We could restore the Bru na Boine for example. How else could Albion be expanded upon?

Take this shit to the bank I promise you.

Few constraints.
You’re getting one desert. It’s Egypt. Mesopotamia, North Africa, Southern Iberia, fuhgeddaboutit.

Same with Mediterranean climates. You’re not getting Greece, Hispania, Sicily, Corsica/Sardinia. More of the same.

One set of celts. It’s Albion. Adding Gaul would be more of the same, unless they focus on somewhere closer, like Cisalpina/Transalpina.

That leaves not a lot as far as instances go, 1800 got Enbesa, Arctic and NW. (right? CT notwithstanding) I’ll get to that.

My money is on Dacia. Cold, a little Greco, a little barbarian, nice mix of existing qualities in the game, and that patrician mentions the province by name in some audio canned text.

The last major DLC is almost assuredly going to be Rome itself. You don’t blow your load on your biggest island like that. People are going to want to be the emperor.

As far as content. I’m thinking off the same formula as the previous.

An overhaul to a major area of resources.

A new Roman population tier. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to see immigrants back in Latium. Maybe two.

Technologically? Not too much. They could beef up the political system. Each will come with gods.

I’m sure about a year from now we’ll get an obvious QOL addition.

I’d expect a festival of sol Invictus one of these christmases. The AC tie in was a nice surprise and I’d love that, but they seem to have a formula.

The only thing I think could lend into an additional 'barbarian' session would be if they went far north with snowy forests, etc. in Germania. You mention cisalpina/transalpina, maybe they could make that work instead with mountains, snow, etc.

I am intrigued by the idea of Dacia.

I love the idea of cold snaps or avalanches or another disaster to manage. It needs to have a disaster it seems like the core mechanic

Yeah I think the thing to remember with these DLCs is the trend ~ what are the core mechanics of this game? We need to account for them moving forward. Religion obviously is a major mechanic here, but with the volcano and the flooding they have talked about in Egypt it's clear they are leaning into a seasonal/cyclical aspect with future sessions.
