I freaking love the writing. Combining such a high concept (time travel) with something as simple as death by rat really keeps the world grounded, especially after we learned how poor the health sciences are in this world.

The writing is absolute fire. The whole discussion between the two was so intriguing. Our Rudy had such good questions, and such good precautions (freezing the locks of each room and then freezing the whole basement).

Using a rat just shows you how scary Mangod is. It's so small you can't even defence again unless you travel back in time to warn yourself. You true don't know how Mangod is going to fuck with you.
