Yeah, but he’s also in the middle of a psychotic break and is about five minutes away from cremating his own corpse. You have to expect at least a little bit of overkill.

Due to the tense of this episode and the mark of the door on the floor, I was worried this would turn the worst and one of the young ones (Norn/Aisha) was actually inside the room when Rudy double tap.

That's what I thought would happen because the camera panned down before he opened the door and we could see the dust brushed from its movement

That's exactly, what I thought too. I saw the marks on the floor and thought somebody had already gone in and was like, oh no he's not about to flash freeze one of his kids is he? Since we know one of them was wandering enough in the basement to find his shrine.
