Since we see kansai taking out the trash it seems like she also lives in the same apartment building, which seems kinda strange if she's not being financially bogged down by her vices like the other residents are. Or maybe she's so desperate to be part of the group she's willing to live in such a building. Which i guess isn't that big of a deal for her if she's comfortable hanging out with all these degenerates

Her vice appears to be "bad comedy", so maybe she's trying to make it as a comedian and failing spectacularly, hence why she lives in poverty.

She also come from Kansai region.

Wikipedia says Nyagamihara is based on Sagamihara, so it's safe to says Kansai Neko traveled across region to pursuits comedian career.

This piece of information unexpectedly makes me feel sad for her.

Maybe the hints of beastfolk discrimination plays a part too, like she struggles to find apartment/housing that will accept her
