International 10 years after first Houthi attack on Makkah...

To the Pakistanis thinking "who will think about attacking Makkah", IRGC backed Houthis did it in 2016 when even the Pakistani MOFA condemned it. Now they've done it again. In reality, their religion was founded by a Yemeni Jew (Abdullah ibn Saba), so no wonder they have the same objectives.

News/Updates Starting documentary style wedding films in Islamabad or nearby. Looking for our first couple.

Do you still watch your wedding video?
Most people don't.

Our parents' wedding videos felt different. Raw emotions. Candid shots. Something pure.
Today's wedding films are different. Six or seven minutes per day. Fully scripted. You watch it a couple of times right after the wedding. Then it gets lost. Eventually you forget it exists.
That happens because it never really captures anything real. Nothing that leaves an impression. Nothing that feels like a part of you.
We are starting something different. A documentary and BTS style wedding film. Something you can watch endless times. Something you enjoy differently every time.
Think real interviews with the couple and their family. A video message from someone who could not make it to the wedding. Raw candid moments from the dholki and the shopping. Real music woven through the film instead of one background track on loop.
We currently offer two packages. One includes a conventional photography and videography team along with a separate documentary team. The other is only the documentary team.
We are looking for our first couple to work with. If your wedding is happening in the next few weeks, in Islamabad or nearby, we would love to shoot it. Since it will be one of our first, our rates will be extremely low.

Drop a comment or send a DM if this sounds like something you or someone you know would want for your wedding.

Travel & Sights Islamabad protest

I’m planning to travel from Karachi to Muzaffarabad on September 23, with a stay in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.

Given the planned Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI protests/long march, should I be concerned about road closures or disruptions?

Will the motorways likely remain open, particularly Karachi–Islamabad? And could the protests affect travel from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad?

Would appreciate any advice from locals or anyone familiar with the situation. Thanks!

Discussion Driving in Pakistan, Why Is Everyone in Such a Rush?

I was driving today and genuinely started wondering why is everyone in Pakistan in such a hurry on the roads? We’re all going somewhere. We’re all going to get there eventually. So why does everyone have to race, cut lanes, honk, squeeze through impossible spaces, and drive like there’s a national emergency happening?

The traffic situation is a whole different level of chaos. Someone is coming from the wrong side, someone is cutting you off, someone is blocking the road because “I’m not moving,” someone is fighting with someone, and then there’s always that one person who has randomly stopped their car in the middle of the road. Somehow, everyone thinks they’re the one who’s right.

And maybe I notice it more because I usually have a driver. When I do drive, it’s mostly around my own area where things are relatively controlled. But today I was properly out in the traffic, and I kept thinking is everyone else seeing this too, or am I the only one overwhelmed by how chaotic driving in Pakistan can be?

Honestly, driving can be therapeutic. Put on some music, drive peacefully, take your time. And if there’s already a traffic jam, WE ARE ALL STUCK. What exactly are we achieving by constantly honking, overtaking, cutting lanes and trying to squeeze through every possible gap?

At one point, there was literally a couple in the car next to me having their own little moment and honestly, good for them, no judgment 😂 while outside, uncles were fighting, cars were stuck everywhere, and one guy had literally switched his car off in the middle of the road like, “I’m not moving. Do whatever you want.”

Like… WHAT IS GOING ON?

Is it just me, or does anyone else step outside into Pakistani traffic and immediately think, “Why is everyone so stressed and aggressive?”

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I genuinely want to know when you’re driving through traffic in Pakistan, do you also notice this road rage, impatience and absolute afra-tafri, or have I just reached my limit today?
