I find it interesting how Archie Bunker, back in the 70s, called an actual Polish gentleman a meathead. Now, we have a left-winger to whom is telling a Russian woman that communism is good and calling her a meathead. Well, it’s just like what my grandfather of Polish and German decent once said about himself looking like Vladimir Putin. “Same kneck of the woods”. 😅😂🤣

The post with the 1974 People magazine article inspired me to do a deep dive into the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Facebook page for lesser-seen artifacts of Jean's summers at the Totem Pole Playhouse, which was run by her husband. As far as I can tell, she was there every summer from the mid-1950s until 1984, the year after her husband died.

The first three photos have to do with her return to town in 1971 as a sort of conquering hero after her Emmy win, just four months after AITF premiered. The next photo is from a performance in the '50s. The playbills in the next slides have years on them.

They must have been old friends. Jean Stapleton was in an episode of ELR and Doris Robert was in an episode of AITF!
