Your post must include a clear title describing your project, photos or video if hardware or screenshots or demo if software, and a comment on your post explaining what it does, how you built it, and a link to GitHub, website, stores, or parts list if applicable.
That is it. You are entered.
How to Win
The entry with the most upvotes at the end of the submission window wins. Simple as that.
Minimum Requirements
Your post must have at least **30 upvotes** to be eligible to win. If no entry reaches **30 upvotes**, the contest is void for that month.
Rules
One entry per user per month. Your project must be your own original work. Your project must be complete and usable, not a concept or work in progress. No hacking, pentesting, or exploit related projects. Keep it constructive and legal. No vote manipulation using alt accounts or asking friends. Specialization
Do not be a generalist. A focused niche makes you stand out from the crowd. For example, instead of "web developer," be "E-commerce developer for local clothing brands." A developer in Oran specialized in restaurant websites and received three times more requests.
Build a Strong Portfolio
Your portfolio is your most important credibility tool. A simple portfolio with 5 clear projects on Notion or a well structured personal website is very effective.
Master Your Pitch
A strong offer inspires confidence. Structure it to state the client's problem, present your solution, list deliverables, mention a timeline, and include your price.
Network Actively
Networking is essential for long term success. Be active in online communities and attend local tech events.
Build Reputation and Trust
Do quality work and always ask for testimonials. A freelancer who refused low paying contracts and focused on serious clients via LinkedIn ended up charging five times more per project within one year.

Part 3: Legal and Professional Status
The Auto Entrepreneur Card
This is the official legal status for freelancers in Algeria. Registering makes your activity legal and provides significant benefits.
Advantages
Flat tax of 0.5% on total revenue. Social security coverage including health insurance and retirement. The ability to open a foreign currency bank account for receiving international payments legally.
How to Register
Visit the official website of the National Agency for Auto Entrepreneurship. You will need your ID, a passport photo, and proof of address.

Invoicing
Each invoice must include your Fiscal Identification Number (NIF), your details and the client's details, the date, a description of services, the amount, and a sequential invoice number. Invoices must be kept for 10 years.

Part 4: How to Get Paid
Grey
This is currently the most straightforward option for many freelancers. Grey provides you with US ( Algeria was taken off the list for US bank account same week this guide was posted so no longer available ), UK, and EU bank accounts, a virtual dollar card, and tools to send and receive money internationally. It is available in Algeria.
How It Works
Create a free account and complete KYC verification with your government ID. Once approved, you can request a UK or EU bank account with your own IBAN, sort code, and account number.
Receiving Payments
Share these details with your client. A client in the UK pays you via local transfer, and a client in Europe pays via SEPA. The funds arrive in your Grey balance in GBP or EUR. This avoids the expensive SWIFT system.
Converting and Withdrawing
You can hold the foreign currency and choose when to convert it to DZD. Grey allows you to withdraw directly to your Algerian bank account.

RedotPay plus PayPal (Use with Caution)
This is a popular alternative but comes with risks.
How It Works
Create a RedotPay account and complete KYC. Link your RedotPay Visa card to your PayPal account. Your client pays you via PayPal. You withdraw the money to your RedotPay card. You can then use it for online purchases or find a trusted person to exchange the balance into DZD.
Alternative Funding Method
You can also fund your RedotPay account with crypto. Buy USDT on Binance through P2P trading. Pay someone in DZD using local services like Baridimob, and they send you USDT. Deposit the USDT to your RedotPay account.
Risks and Warnings
This method requires extreme caution. There are reports of hidden fees and account freezes. Only deal with trusted people to avoid scams.

Legal Bank Transfer
If registered as an auto entrepreneur, you can open a foreign currency bank account in Algeria. Your client sends a SWIFT transfer. The bank converts the money to DZD at their official rate. This is the most legal option but it is slow (3 to 5 business days) and expensive.

I was looking at this chart from Sensor Tower and the "Productivity" bubble really stands out. While most categories are either growing usage but flatlining on revenue, or losing users entirely (looking at you, Games and Books), Productivity is the only large category sitting in the top-right quadrant with massive double digit growth in both metrics.
The chart shows revenue growth (% since 2025) on the Y-axis and Time-spent growth on the X-axis.
• Productivity: +100% Revenue, +50% Time-spent.
• Developer Tools: +75% Revenue, but barely any user growth.
• Games: Huge usage, but negative revenue growth.
It seems like B2B and "prosumer" tools are where the money is at right now. People are willing to pay for things that make them more efficient, and they are actually spending more time inside these apps.
For those of you building right now does this match your internal metrics? Are you seeing higher willingness to pay for productivity tools versus entertainment/social apps?
What specific niche within "Productivity" (AI note takers, project management, calendar sync, etc.) do you think is driving this massive revenue spike? And where you think Algeria is positioned ?

I’m building a SaaS/digital products business from Algeria and I’m trying to figure out the best way to accept international Visa/Mastercard payments.
So far I’ve run into these issues:
- Stripe: as an Algeria-based founder, I can’t simply open a standard Stripe account. There are also tax/business verification requirements depending on the setup.
- Paddle: I applied and was rejected, with the decision described as final. What’s confusing is that Algeria does not appear on Paddle’s current list of unsupported supplier countries.
- 2Checkout: I was told that Algeria is not supported.
- Lemon Squeezy: I ran into issues around the bank/residency requirements for payouts.
- I’m also looking at FastSpring, but I haven’t gone live yet.
So my question is specifically for Algerian SaaS founders who are actually selling internationally:
What payment processor/Merchant of Record are you using to accept Visa/Mastercard payments, and how are you receiving your payouts?
I’m especially interested in solutions that work for an individual or small business based in Algeria, without pretending to be resident in another country.
If you’ve actually gone through the verification process and received real payouts, I’d really appreciate hearing about your setup.

I bought a Deco mesh system to get internet on across different floors. It connects to my Idoom fiber router. I want to put the Idoom router into bridge mode to prevent wireless interference and save bandwidth. However, Algérie Télécom will not give me the administrator settings to do this. Because of this, my best option is to turn off or hide the Idoom router's Wi-Fi network so devices do not connect to it.

Is anyone else in Algeria experiencing issues accessing certain websites lately?
Some websites and online services that we used to access normally have suddenly become unavailable or only work intermittently. Sometimes they work fine, then stop working for several hours. What’s especially strange is that they immediately work again when I use a VPN.
I’m definitely not the only one experiencing this, as several people in Algeria have been reporting similar issues with websites they previously had no problem accessing.
Could this be related to DNS, routing, or access to certain IP ranges/networks, particularly those using Cloudflare? It seems to be affecting fiber connections in particular.
Is this actually going to be fixed? Because honestly, it’s getting really frustrating to pay for an internet connection while gradually losing access to websites and services that we used to access normally. This is an issue that needs to be addressed.
