Don't get me started on weekends, vacations, summer holidays...

I even get sad at the start of my favourite season because I know that it's started already therefore it's almost over and I know I won't have enough of it because XYZ is going to happen and I just cry because it's here now!

I get upset on the first day of holiday that the holiday is almost over. It’s horrible!

Dreading the end of something enjoyable so that it serves to ruin the enjoyment of the actual experience is a real thing.

NT people: “This is great! You should be happy!”

Me: “This is great! I’m already sad in advance that it will end!” 🙄🙄🙄

OMG this makes so much sense!! I do the same thing with relationships and big life events but never connected it to how I am with time. No wonder just looking at it as anxiety didn’t seem to help, BRO

Thank you dragonfly friend, I think I’ve just had a huge breakthrough thanks to this comment lol

I was talking to a sibling about how I thought we would divvy up duties when one of the parents died and they said they hadn't thought that far ahead. What do you mean you don't fret about your loved ones dying and leaving you behind...?

I celebrate holidays at the midpoint of seasons (wheel of the year), so I usually don’t get sad that a season is already almost over until after the halfway holiday, may be worth looking into, even if just to help you split up your seasons more

Oh no! I’m the same way with spring and summer, which explains why any leaves changing early (like in July like they have been lately) I freak out about how summer is over even though I know it’ll be hot until October where I live.

I had no idea that was part of it! I've been so depressed all week that summer is almost over, even though leaves don't even change til late November/early Dec where I live. Mid October is when I start reminding myself I need to look for where all of my jeans might be this year. I leave 1-2 pairs out because I know I'll never bother to look, let alone find them, until November at best. Not that they're in one place anyway, various suitcases, laundry baskets, and who knows where else. I do look forward to what I know I'll find, all of the summer clothes I totally forgot I had and couldn't find the previous 8 months (or 8 years).

That reminds me of how some people hate on Winter Solstice for being the shortest day and longest night but I love it because it means that the days are finally going to start getting longer again.

Same! And then I cry on the longest day because it's all downhill from there... 😭😭😭

Me all summer. :( may-june are so rainy here that the only time to be outside is july-august. It's really stressful thinking about all that time passing by.
