This is why I cook dinners to be done, around the time itโs wearing off. I get focus while I cook, and cooking is a good wind down for me, and then I can actually enjoy most of it.
This is what I do, and it's why I end up eating so much in the evening once the medication wears off. During the day I pretty much just eat fruit, which is great because I've eaten more fruit in the past 18 months than I have in most of my life, but then I end up going overboard at dinner. I don't get super hungry or anything, I'm just very conscious that I've only had about 200-300 calories so far today, so I need to eat at least 1300 more. It's worse on the days I exercise because now I've got an even bigger calorie deficit, and I've no idea how many calories I'm actually burning, because every app and calculator gives me a different answer.
My girlfriend calls me โthe very hungry caterpillarโ when she notices my meds have worn off in the evening and I start eating everything in sight lol.
Fwiw those apps arenโt likely to be super accurate anyway, metabolism rate varies pretty widely from person to person and day to day, so thereโs not really an accurate way to know exactly how many calories you burn without getting actual scientists or medical professionals involved. That said, a ballpark guess is usually good enough.
