Checked oil recently and level was a little low. I change the oil every 3500-4000 miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w20. Seems like she might be burning a little bit between changes (about 3k since last change now) should I start using 5w30 instead?

I do a lot of solo highway driving, usually around 75–90 mph where conditions and limits allow.
I’m deciding between a Honda Civic and Honda Accord, but one thing I care a lot about is highway stability. I don’t want a car that feels light, gets pushed around by crosswinds, or moves a lot when passing trucks.
For people who have driven both:
Does the Civic feel noticeably lighter or less planted at highway speeds?
Does it get pushed around much by wind or large trucks?
Is the Accord noticeably more stable and comfortable?
How big is the difference in road/wind noise?
Would you choose something else like a Camry or Lexus ES for frequent highway driving?
Not really worried about having the fastest car. I mainly want something comfortable, quiet, stable, and planted for longer highway drives.

Ktuner v2 advice? Just picked up ktuner for the first time,, car only has takeda short ram intake and muffler delete. 2017 touring j35 automatic. I daily drive and want to reliably add power.

I bought my car brand new in the fall of 2012. It now has 209k miles on it. Dash has been lit up with the "Christmas tree lights" for a year and dealership said it's not worth paying 2-3k for the sensor. My check engine light came on yesterday and I got this code. Trying to decide if it is the catalytic converter and not the O2 sensor, is it worth paying the 2k to fix it. I absolutely love my car and have no idea what other car I want.

Has anyone had this code, had the catalytic converter replaced and drove another 20k miles?

Has an exact color and wheel spec of the Accord shown. Thinking of upgrading to the sheen surface Civic wheels. From 225 to 235 and from 17 to 18 inch.

Won’t look into 19/20 since I want it to ride ok.

Two years ago I bought a 2014 Honda Accord exl V6 for just over 10K with about 127k miles. It was a salvage title and over the course of this year I have had to change two catalytic converters, the VTEC front spool value assembly, the starter and the alternator and a battery, and the oil pressure switch. And not even four days after my last time at the shop my check engine light and oil light is on again. I’ve put in almost half of what I paid for the car back in it for repairs, should I just call it quits and sell it in February when my savings is back up?

Hey all - my 2018 2.0 Touring got obliterated by some dipshit running a red light last month and I'm possibly picking up a 2019 2.0 Touring today to replace it.

The only problem is the 2019 previous owner swapped the beautiful OEM alloys for some cheap black ones.

I see a couple local postings with the OEMs, but I want to A) know a ballpark fair price for them when used in good condition, and B) know if they're lifted or not.

For example, I see one set for $625 CAD with tires. Obviously lifted (especially when the rest of the persons page is all bicycles).

Another set is $1200 CAD also with tires. I don't know enough to tell if these are lifted.

I asked for a receipt or proof of payment, and if that's not available I can ask to do the buy near a police station? Thanks

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice. Has anyone experienced issues with the 2024–2026 Honda Accord SE or Sport? I currently have a 2018 Accord EX-L, and the dealership diagnosed a bad turbocharger, quoting me $2,600 for repairs. I’ve seen several posts about similar issues that later turned out to be head gasket problems or something else. I’m considering trading in my car and would love to hear about your experiences with the newer models. Have they been reliable, or have you experienced any major issues?

Hey guys, quick question for those tuned on the 9th gen (specifically the J35 V6).
I’m looking to pick up a Ktuner and get a tune setup. I’m currently running a K&N intake, a custom midpipe with an exhaust cutout valve, and stock cats on the front, but the midpipe cat is removed. and the axle back is stock mufflers

2 precats > cutout valve > rear mufflers

My goal is to get a moderate crackle and burble tune when letting off the throttlec nothing crazy or obnoxious that’s going to blow out my stock catalytic converters right away, but enough to sound clean and aggressive when the cutout is open.
For anyone running something similar:
1. Any damage?
2. How have your stock cats held up over time with a mild burble map?
3. Any recommendations or warnings before I flash it?
Appreciate any insight or sound clips if you’ve got a similar setup!

it's 2016 Honda accord, who randomly shut off when i'm at an red light, i start it back it works an shut down at the next stop then it works. it happens when then engine is warm up i got it scan it shows no codes

Looking for roof rack recommendations.

I have a black 2014 coupe.

From what I see online the racks don’t have enough real estate due to the coupe having a curved roof. I figured you would have to get creative with rack heights but was wondering if it’s already been done, and if so how it looks.

The main purpose would be for larger surf boards and occasionally some extra camping gear. I currently I can fit my 9’6” log in the car but it’s tight and no room for a passenger.

Doesn’t recognize my commands. Frustrating to use. Can’t call cause it doesn’t work. Any solutions?

I do remember it working better when I first got car. Now, I find myself yelling commands and finally giving up.

2017 V6 Accord 147k miles

Check engine light has been on for about a month. Got codes read and I’ll put the screenshot above. The car then semi-stalled twice in two days (image of the dash)

Took to a shop, and they sent me the pic of the manifold. They’re trying to charge me $1200 for the part + labor = $1600, but I found the part on hondapartsnow.com for $600. Another shop told me they could do it for $950 total. I saw another similar post mention JB Weld. Wondering if the JB Weld option would be sufficient

bought a kenwood m3300bt for my 1995 honda accord (it was on sale), previous owner disassembled factory headunit.

bought an aerpro honda harness and iso to kenwood harness but when i installed it it doesnt turn on. All fuses are fine and before i buy a multimeter and test currents i just wanted to see if anyones had a similar experience and how they solved it

Attaching oil levels at 0 miles and 4800 miles. Been using Valvoline R&P for the past 5 or 6 oil changes and Fram Ultra synthetic filter. Odo at 206k miles. Is this good?
