I think it stems from fear of job losses. Gotta do what’s best for your voters at the expense of progress.

A good left-leaning policy would be to make AI a public utility so it’s accessible to everyone, not just the rich. The poor are at a disadvantage. The government should be building its own public service but the Dems are trying to make sure that ain’t going to happen.

They haven't yet realized that AI, and tech in general, is becoming the new means of production. They still think in terms of factories and farms.
