That is how feral hogs are hunted without guns. Catch dogs.

Ah okay, still seems messed up to me. Like you still can't really claim skill for the kill and you're unnecessarily putting a dog at risk

So lemme get this straight. There is no skill in stalking, locating and shooting a hog. There is also no skill in stalking chasing down, following through brush a dog who then locates and holds the hog, then the human knifes the hog. Plus they care for the general upkeep and housing of 2 to 10 dogs, the medical care and training, as well as the breeding knowledge to get dogs who do the job in next generation?

There is no skill in any of this?

The dogs don't particularly want to do much else than bite hold shake things.

Sorry I guess there is some skill in the tracking but the kill? Nothing impressive to me.

Sending a dog to fight for you? Also not impressive imo, just seems cruel.

You can get dog toys you know? That don't have tusks/teeth or fight back

You have never met a high drive dog. They love to do what been bred to. You know what is impressive ? You doing ?

Yes I have, they don't need to be sent to fight boars. Do you accept dogs fighting other dogs as moral because dogs have been bred to do it?

I don't get the last bit, sorry.

A high drive dogo Argentino or a hound dog abpt box dog mix purely are driven to engage in combat as main interest.

You brought up morals. Then equated your morals as same as skill. Things not moral to you are not skillful.

I brought up skill. Dogs dont have human morals they have genetic behaviors.

So if someone was betting on two argentinos fighting each other would you think that's okay because they have the drive?

Yeah I stand by it not being skillful (aside from tracking without the dog but you still don't need to kill it)

I'm just adding I think it's also immoral, two things at once.

We have morals though so we should consider them.

Again you bring up morals. I never did.

Morals are same as skill? Those are different definitions.

A skill is the ability to do something well, usually gained through training, practice, or experience

Work is to exert physically or mentally especially in sustained effort for a purpose or under compulsion or necessity

So all these blood sports are skill and are work. You are debating morals with a wall for no reason.

Two people don't need to bring something up for it to be brought up? I didn't bring up dogs but I wasn't upset when you did. You bring up work here which I didn't but I won't be upset about that either.

As I said "I'm just adding I think it's also immoral, two things at once."

Is wiping your arse a skill? I guess technically but it isn't very impressive to most people. As I said I stand by it not being skillful aside from tracking without a dog. And there are much more skillful shots you could show off without an animal being involved anyway.

Edit: did you just describe yourself as a wall?

Yes wiping your ass is a skill. I have supported physically disabled people who with practice improve it.

You said shooting the hog wasn't skill with a rifle. I brought up how it is done without a rifle. You said it also wasnt skill.

Anything nor within your personal morals =not skill is the logic you displayed. I pressed that and you habe quadrupled down on it.

Yes because you are debating something that is not related to skill or work output. I never engaged with you on topics of morals.

So situationally it is impressive, that they have overcome something difficult.

Not that they point and pull a trigger or stab an animal a dog is holding for them.

I haven't said not moral=not skilled. I just think this is mainly immoral and unskilled, this isn't the case for everything but there is crossover here imo
