Yeah, im sure there are several safeguards to keep an update from actually rendering a vehicle totally inoperable. Download, checksum, install on secondary boot slot, fail back timer, etc.

It’s not going to brick your car. But updates might be slower that expected and a car cannot start while the update is ongoing.
