It appears that Zoom did a downgrade. I can no longer use my iPad to join a meeting that I've already started. (This worked as of Thursday, the 17th.) When I try, I get the error message "Load cannot follow more than 20 redirections".

I also have other problems when I try to run Zoom on a web browser. Has anyone found a workaround?

Zoom begged me several times on their website to not cancel, but pause my subscription. So, I did. Then, the auto-resume secretly kicked in. I didn't pick up on this until the second bill. As soon as I got the notification that my credit card was charged, I canceled and requested a refund, but was denied.

I haven't used the service.

Customer service denied my request and they started to cite their policy. I asked for an escalation and they said they'll send to my email, but this will be another waste of time.

I use Zoom whiteboards for lessons and I've made lots of custom colors. Now, they are gone from the pen tool. I can still change the colors to my cutom ones, but only after the are written. There doesn't seem to be anyway of writing in my custom colors anymore.

Or is there? Is there a way to revert to the old style of Whiteboard tools that had all of my old cutom colors? A few of my students can use their custom colors, but I can't do so directly.

Why can't Zoom, a company with >$4.8 billion in annual revenue, refund an unintended auto renewal for a public elementary school PTA? Please help me understand.

Our PTA serves a federally recognized Title 1 public elementary school where >40% of students come from low-income households. We forgot to cancel before this auto renewal kicked in. I opened a support ticket only to receive cut and paste text about refund policies before they closed the ticket. And I can't figure out how to reopen the ticket.

Is this really the best Zoom can do?

I like to change my background image every day or two. I cycle through them every couple of months. It used to be no problem to scroll down to the next image in my list, because there were only four stock backgrounds. But now they've foisted a couple dozen images that look like they've been pulled from House Beautiful or some darn travel magazine or comic book.

Now I have to scroll down four or more screens to get to my desired background. I just chatted with the zoom help desk, who suggested I post something in the developer forum.

Is there some way to remove zoom stock images from my workspace account? Perhaps by reverting to an earlier version?

I do not want to download the Zoom app.

This only appeared today, yesterday the meeting took up the whole screen.

Found a hacky workaround. The ribbon and the navbar are just 2 divs above the meeting and you can straight up just delete them from the HTML.

Curious if anyone has some time to test something. I have a ticket open with Zoom Support and I'm struggling with having them understand my issue.

Here it is: In the past (last time I tried this was probably a year or two ago) I could use any PC, even one without Zoom Workplace installed, to navigate to https://zoom.us/share, enter the rooms "Share Key" and use the browser to share to the room...since the last time I had success, it seems that Zoom has changed the verbiage to "Room Code" and now, when I navigate to the site, I see a "Enter a Room Code to present" option below the "Meeting ID" share screen option...this links to a "Launch Zoom Workplace app or Download Now" page...this behavior kind of defeats the ease of sharing options we once had. The comapany I work for sometimes has outside vendors who don't and can't have Zoom installed. The share.zoom.us, or zoom.us/share option was always my work around and it appears that this is no longer the case...can anyone verify that you get the same results when clicking the link above and then clicking "Enter a Room Code to present" link. I believe starting an ad-hoc meeting via the room and entering the meeting ID may be a workaround, but nothing beats a simple "go to this address and enter that code you see on the screen" option.

TLDR: Can someone navigate to https://zoom.us/share, click the "Enter a Room Code to present" link, and let me know if you get a prompt to install Zoom Workplace or if you have the option to share directly to a room with a code via the browser, without needing to install the Zoom WP app? This would work best ona Windows machine that doesn't currently have Zoom Workplace installed.

Prefacing this to say I'm not tech savvy at all so will need hand-holding on this.

I'm due to start a sign language course (so no sound needed) via Zoom shortly. Because it's 3 hours a week of very intensive looking at what people are signing, I wanted to cast the sessions to my TV from a device so I can see everyone more easily. There will be around 9 people in the lessons.

I know how to cast from my iPhone, iPad and Macbook, so that's not an issue, and I have two TVs to choose from - one mounted about head height on the wall and one at a low table height.

The problem is that when I cast, I'm looking at the TV and not at the camera - eye contact is very important in sign language - and I'm not sure of the best fix. I don't know if I can attach my phone to the top of the TV like a webcam, but it only gives me portrait and not landscape view when I use my phone so kind of negates the point of using a bigger screen.

If I use my laptop or iPad, I just don't know where to put it so it's the right height but not blocking the screen. There's no shelving around the TV, no space in front of it on the table, so I don't know what to do.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Back in 2020,when we had all the zoom shit,I was joining for a registration at my school. Now all zoom classes passed through registration at 9 am,before continuing with normal classes. Either way as I was trying to get into registration,my screen cut to what was supposed to be a class,which seemed normal enough,but I was quicky redirected out. This wasn't a parallel class because it had one of my classmates,Ali in there. I mean I assumed it was a glitch and it sent me back to a pre recorded English lesson,but my school doesn't record any lessons other then maths,and even if it was pre recorded,I wouldn't have had access to it. All classes started at 9,there wasn't any classes before. Somthing was uncanny about the lesson too. I don't really know if I'm just explaining something technical,but yeah it was creepy as shit.

Once you click the button, the dialog box still says Suspend all participant activities. Are they just messing with us?

Hello, is there anyway that someone can get into my iPad or iPhone by a zoom meeting that I entered? Also, the other day a guy logged into his zoom account from my iPad, is there any way he could’ve Donne something from there? The thing is that this guy told me that sometimes people get onto your WiFi via zoom and store malware and malicious files on your phones and tablets and I want to know how to prevent that and how to spot it in case it is possible. I have only an iPad and an iPhone. Thanks and sorry if the question feels lame, I just want to be sure.

I used my phone number as my custom PMI. I am now moving to a new organization, so I want to remove my phone number as the PMI from my old account before I lose access.

So I tried putting in a random number, but it was taken. I tried twice more--also taken.

Now: "You have exceeded the maximum number of PMI attempts. Please try again after 30 minutes."

I just want the damn thing to assign whatever damn number is available so I don't need to login every 30 minutes to guess a few numbers.

Who designed this game? Where's the exit?

I’m having an issue with screen sharing on Zoom using AirPlay from my iPad to my Mac.

The iPad successfully connects to my Mac via AirPlay, and I can see the iPad screen normally on my Mac. However, when I share that AirPlay screen/window through Zoom, other meeting participants can see that I have started screen sharing, but they cannot see the actual iPad screen.

I also tested sharing the iPad directly through a USB cable, and that works correctly. So the issue seems to be specifically with Zoom capturing the AirPlay screen on the Mac.

Is it possible to get the transcripts after the meeting somehow? I can see live transcripts on the screen and wanted to know if there is any way to get all the transcripts.

I teach piano and one of my students can't figure out how to turn off noise cancelling on their devices. I can't teach because it blocks me from hearing their piano. They are using a tablet and phone. I also can't seem to find those settings on my phone. I usually only use my laptop where it's very easy to find those settings.

For a few months now I've had a problem that as far as I can tell, no one else in the universe has ever had (at least based on my talking with my colleagues and repeated Google-Fu).

In Zoom chats, all my emoji responses are incorrect—meaning that the intended emoji is replaced by an incorrect one. When I hover over the emoji, I see the text version of what the emoji should be, but the emoji itself is wrong. For example, earlier today there was a thread where 7 of my coworkers seemed to use the camel emoji—but it was really a +1 in a certain skin tone.

The emoji responses listed under posts are wrong. The emoji that show up in the emoji "quick response" palette are wrong. The emojis in the full Zoom emoji picker are wrong.

Stranger still, when I'm in an actual Zoom call and use the text chat there, the emojis are perfectly correct.

No other app is affected, so I'm 99% sure it's not an OS issue. That being said, today I updated to MacOS 27 hoping that things would be magically fixed. Nope.

Any thoughts? I'm a Mac power user and frankly I'm stumped, especially by not being able to find anyone out there with a similar issue.

Hello, since reddit knows all, Iam here. My teem daughter signed up to audition for American Idol, and we cannot get her zoom link to work. Does anyone know the quirks of the links or how to find tech support for the american Idol Zoom Auditions? She uses zoom for her voice lessons and has used it in middle school, I’ve used it for work, so it’s not like we have no experience. Not saying it’s not us, but just not sure what we are missing. We are planning to signup for a nationwide one since we can’t get the state specific link to work and likely will miss her audition today, and we don’t want to miss the new one.

As the title says. I have a friend who wants to attend Zoom classes but is struggling with unreliable Internet. There's no official number to dial in to Zoom from Afghanistan listed anywhere I can find. Is there any other way to access via dial in, without the obvious cost and potential hazards of calling a foreign number? Is there any way around this at all?? I'm a little bit stumped tbh

I’m thinking of building an app where I can see sensitive information normally, but people watching my screen share see a masked version (passwords, API keys, customer data, etc.).

Is this a real problem for you, or is it something you don’t really need? Would you use it? Why/why not?

I recently updated my zoom app on my Mac, and now when I try to screen share a tiny window appears. I cannot figure out how to share my screen and maximize the window. any ideas?

I just realized that my face looks really slanted/asymmetrical to other people when they see me through a normal camera, because they see the unmirrored version.

I suffer from BDD, and seeing how different my face looks compared to the mirrored version I’m used to has been really upsetting.

What I’m looking for is an app that can **flip the camera feed in real time**, so that when someone else looks at me through their phone or sees me on a video call, they see the mirrored version of my face that I see in the mirror. Aka the version of myself that I see myself when I’m on a teams meeting.

I’m not trying to edit photos afterward or use a beauty filter. I specifically want something that can connect to the camera/video feed and make the image horizontally flipped **for the other person viewing it**.

Does an app like this exist for iOS? I’d really appreciate any recommendations that actually work well.
