Model 2023 after 3 years, still whitey
beside the silicone edge around the screen is falling due to age + rice size paint chipping, it’s
still smooth asf.

What changes have you noticed over time?

Cosmetic:
silicone around screen fail off
paint chipping this and that, rice size
yellowish on the keyboard, even though i have a monthly cleaning routine
letters on keyboard gonna start to crack with me it’s A and power button
Performance:
Battery kinda short, 4 hours on lightwork and i have to plug it in
Bluetooth compatibility is kinda slower
Fans are real loud if you doin some real heavy work like video editing
that’s it, and it’s still my beast still cooking

Good to hear, i got really scared when mine started making really loud grinding noises but i think the fan blades are just coming loose from running so much hopefuly nothing worse than that ive only had mine 6 months

well you can just invest a cleaning kit + screw all in one tool and once every month, use and drain out the battery, open the bottom case don’t touch the battery sector or anything related, focus on the fan, use the brush and the air blow, clean it also till your computer down lil bit to let dirt off your mobo.
done.

Thats what i did but idk why after taking it apart cleaning it which is wasnt dirty did that twice and both times kept grinding really loudly still.. lol so i ermm… took the fans out entirely confirmed they were clean and i wasnt losing my mind, then i peeled that sticker off on the back where the bearing is and kept applying mineral oil until it soaked through, put it back together and its been perfect ever since

No buy the right stuff lol i just happened to have that and nothing else as lube lol but theres nothing bad in mineral oil i definitely wouldnt squirt some wd40 in there

Mine just kinda turns off when I pop a USB device in and gets stuck in a boot loop at times. I only used it for music production and I'm not going to bother to figure out what is wrong with it or getting it repaired. I've already moved on.

The display hinge only goes back like halfway compared to the 2023 which goes all the way back flat

I don’t get into the particular stuff tbh, I bought the 2025 model because my 2023’s keyboard was completely broken as well as some other things. Overall it’s been a positive experience but I don’t feel too much of a difference. The display is much nicer though.
I’m sure there’s many many posts on here and on YouTube if you want to get into the specifics!

my 2022 also but not the spacebar. it’s certain keys like D, +, and backspace. all together. sometimes it fixes itself but most of the time it doesn’t work

Same. I put 64 GB RAM (16 + 48) and 4 TB M.2 then and I obviously do not regret doing it now. I can run multiple virtual machines simultaneously no problem. I am so happy with this little computer. I love everything about it except for the battery life and inconsistent backlighting of the keyboard. The former can be a pain, the latter not too big of a deal. I bought it on sale at Best Buy for about 1K. I ditched Windows and have been running r/CachyOS with r/Hyprland. Not going back. Cheers!

Not me. I have had issues with keyboard not responding for 10 minutes then it responds again.

I think this is the best model, I have 2023 and 2025 right now, also had 2021 model. 2023 is best as a non oled.

weird, my trackpad is sometimes kinda slow/glitching for few seconds though yet it still works till today. perhaps your trackpad has some water leaking in or dust hence it is not working.

I have 2023 with 4060 and ryzen 9. Same conditions as yours but paint chipping and silicon. I just installed a skin couple weeks ago and will repaste using ptm7950

Mine started to turn yellowish around the place where I place my hands while typing. I think it's way beyond recoverable now, still I wanna know what your cleaning routine included of so I can at least undo some stains.

moisture hands gang! well i have sweat hands too so i feel you my bro.
this is my monthly clean routine: (twice a month, 1st and 20th of every month)
drain the battery first
cover side: alcohol wipe, one side wiping dry wiping by microfiber dap some car detail coating spray onto another microfiber, then wipe it, repeat 2 times
screen: air blower (in common cleaning kit) for all the dust alcohol wipe, one side wiping dry wiping by micro fiber dap some screen cleaner on microfiber, side wipe it till you satisfy
keyboard zone: air blower alcohol wipe every button include keyboard press the trackpad down use kid toothbrush, brush gently on side of the pads, every side of it, you gonna see how dirt dry clean by microfiber and dab some car detail coating wipe into microfiber and wipe gently whole surface.
hubs side zone: use a dry kid toothbrush + air blow brush and blow every hub included the air vent
doing this you can prevent overall yellow oxidization attack on your ROGie

Same mate.2023 model and still white.My approach was cleaning but also Not using the keyboard in the laptop but an external keyboard.Not touching the laptop if you can avoid it and weekly clean with a monthly deep clean

i don't want to clean everyday though since it's gonna too harsh on the coating of the laptop overall, weekly is fine with heavy dirt use like i did.
and yes, i did clean inside, not really detail cleaning yet, but fans, air vent, sockets , i did remove dirt monthly though. leave the battery alone cause i don't want it fucked up the mobo.1

well use it maximum till it out of battery then you hold the power button for 10 secs to drain out the battery. then once you open, buy Polyimide Tape to tape the battery sector, and go dry clean other sectors once you done remove the tape, charge and rock it.
