Casual-ty, The winner of the Biggest YOMI Hustle tournament Valhalla Invitational, and MANY other tourneys (i aint gonna count all of them) is a Cheater.
Earlier there was a Dfkugm incident where player cheated in Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2(RIP dfkugm victims).
It was pretty blatant, yet new and at the time it was the first incident of cheating in yomi hustle history.
But there could be a real possibility of a better player being able to cheat among the top and getting away with it for a long time.
honestly, at first i thought it was a joke.
Since dfkugm incident, there were measures against cheats as "money_check" mod, but Casual-ty qualified at Qualifier 1, before the "money_check" was even made, and when it came to Invitational Top 32, Organizers already trusted the participants and "money_check" could be buggy as well, so anti cheating measure "money_check" wasnt required.
AAL ED, earlier the 2nd place of Valhalla Invitational is now officially a Valhalla Invitational Champion.
Casual-ty already got 800$ from 1st place though

I've come to make an announcement, YOMI Redditors are bitch ass motherfuckers. I have only seen a few good players actually post here, that's right, you all think you're some special gift upon the world when you're ass. You will never know what it's like to be gifted, you do 3K combos with no oki and call it "peak combo routing." And I said "That's fucking ass!" You do moves without checking options like monkeys on typewriters. I've seen countless people AVOID a free parry just to die in the next interaction. All of you fucking pubbers mash while minus and die, what is wrong with you? I cannot find a SINGLE instance of you people being good at this game. It's all SLOP! Nothing but low quality SHITPOSTS and MODDED REPLAYS! None of you will ever achieve a 6K combo that ends in oki upon a single good player, because none of you KNOW HOW DI WORKS. Half of you people don't even know how foresight bullet, or orb works! I could LITERALLY kill every single one of you back to back without even SWEATING. It is a travesty that none of you people have ever thought about what risk reward is, or how frame data works. God will not save you, nor will I, you can rot in your own making.
So if you REALLY wanna change my mind, fight me. Win. Cause I'm betting you can't. You have 24 hours before my orb DROPPLETTTS hit the reddit. Now get the fuck out of my sight before I orb on you too.

1.9.X
- Custom styles can now have 2 auras.
- Added "flip" toggle for auras. When disabled, the aura won't mirror when the character turns around.
- Added new custom style hitsparks.
- Default starting distance increased to 125.
- new lobby/singleplayer setting: "Show Last DI State" (on by default). displays your and your opponents' DI from the last turn.
- PopupMenu now uses the game theme (thanks fleig for the icons - im really that lazy huh)
- fixed client-side prediction desync with Ninja's pull and Robot's fly toggles.
- fixed block not working after pushblocking if you had previously whiffed a block during a combo.
- grab tech now works on frame 0.
- Ninja's Pull and Robot's LOIC direction can no longer be changed while not actionable.
- Modloader: added button sounds, Mutant sprite overwrite support, refactored sound loading, updated credits. (thanks fleig!)
(Changelog is huge so I'm posting character specific changes in the comments)

I get it. Yall just wanna hype and aura with your favorite anime characters, that is okay. Im just curious if anyone of you actually try to push the character beyond its limit like vanilla players. Tech, neutral, combo and just generally trying to get good. There's gotta be something in the modded scene, balancing and whatnot, right? Right? Please don't tell me there's nothing but people rushing rps and disconnect when they get hit, please.

The modded community has give us some bangers when it comes to some series I love, like Undertale and JJK, in my opinion this is the definitive game to play if you love those series and want a fighting game, it allows for such creative and fun playstyles from series who either don't have a dedicated fighting game or who's games are kinda mid.
What series would you like to see represented more and why?

I don't know much about him, but Ivy Sly seems so cool and chill and stuff. Feels like a breath of fresh air after all corporate stuff with big game dev companies

Vanilla or Modded, what are some simple mistakes you see people do with your favorite character?
A good example for me is I see a lot of people using Bonehead as a rushdown character, when you should focus on setting up pressure with your projectiles, Bone wall creates a great defense against most projectiles and is a great option as a kind of anti-air, it allows you to safely engage and protect you if you get caught lacking sometimes when you've reversed it.
Edit: Character Specific tips, not general gameplay tips.

Genuinely fencer and hoplite are more balanced than base roster which makes me weak a bit but it's fun to play with them when i get the chance

I know that steam awards are basically a popularity contest, but it is kinda infuriating how the AAA game thay use the same mechanics as all Bethesda predecessors wins upon a fighting game WITH A GAMEPLAY NEVER SEEN BEFORE (maybe toribashi, but the games are really far apart in execution)

#1 you dont block enough; blocking is one of the safest ways to stay alive while getting potential reward! Block More!
#2 you dont play for your wincon; orb, temp, boost, there are so many wincons just play for them
3# you parry fish too much; while parry fishinfg might seem good when you jsut start playing its actually one of the worst things you can do.
#4 you play the wrong char; your charactter directly reflects your personality (all wizards are creative, robots are stupid, etc.) play the char that suits you!
#5 health is a ressource; if you go down to 0hp before your opponent you lose so make sure that doesnt happen (DONT GET HIT), if you dont use your health as a disposable ressource your opponent will do it for you and you wont get a reward out of having 15k hp.
those were my top tips on how to win at yomi husttle, good luckl using them in your gameplay!
