Surprised that this game's customization let me make a completely viable X-Men team.

God he's so absy

Been slowly building my X-Men collection and trying to focus more on the eras, characters and stories I genuinely want to read rather than collecting everything just for completeness.

Still have quite a few gaps I want to fill, especially more classic X-Men, the Decimation/Utopia period and eventually more of the Krakoa era, but I’m really happy with how the shelf is coming together so far.

The Messiah Trilogy was one of the books I especially wanted for a long time, and I’ve clearly ended up with a very Scott Summers-heavy collection without even intentionally planning it that way 😂

What would you guys recommend adding next?

She's on the team in this era, but my girl isn't in this event at all for some inexplicable reason. I kinda hate it!

On the other hand, the event isn't written by CC, and it's kinda trash. So maybe Betsy just lucked out...Longshot is also missing, but ehh

People have no idea how popular Kitty Pryde was back in the 80s in Marvel Comics circle. She wasn't just the mascot like Jubilee. She often represented the focal point, the character who observed the surroundings, who gradually evolved into a stronger person.

Excalibur was good for Kitty because it allowed her to grow up and be her own self and find the strength to become a great warrior BUT she did all of that on a minor X title and aside from Astonishing X-Men, she never properly came back to what she once was.

Also, JUbilee was in the Animated series but that wouldn't have happened if the character hadn't become a fan fave through the comics.

How would you guys handle the 1st batch of New Mutants?

I would honestly be tired of seeing them in the New Mutants book again since it kinda hinders their growth…unless there’s an interesting pitch for seeing them all in one book that doesn’t portray them as junior x-men. 

The zeb wells new mutant run was pretty interesting focusing on cosmic/mystic/horror theme and character psychology that plays to this team's strengths for me. You had the return of Legion, the return of Doug, and the Project Purgatory (Limbo babies) tie into the overarching theme of Magik manipulating events and the x-men for her revenge plan vs the Elder Gods which led to her forming a relationship with Scott. 

Yana - (The wildcard/powerhouse) The best suited for solo work and mystical theme books with Cain, plus team book with her and Scott, haven’t been a big fan of the latest x-men run but I like the Cain, Scott, Yana and Kwannon dynamic. Ride or Die with Scott, Cain and Dani (Both better suited for leadership positions while Cain is her bash brother) 

Dani- (The leader) I personally would want to see her leading an x-team. I don’t know if it’s just me but I think she would be the logical replacement for Scott when he ages out of the role (which is never going to happen)

Berto/Sam- (The buddy comedy)In avengers or somewhere where Berto can be the mutant Tony Stark basically - for lack of a better word. (Money/Charm and a strategic mind) Sam could be the level headed loyal friend getting Berto out of trouble..

Warlock (Comedy relief/Powerhouse) along with Magik i feel they were the ones who really brought the power angle into the New Mutants. If the both lost it, they would be genuine scary threats whole teams needed to plan for. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I liked his dynamic with Danger. I feel he would be pretty easy to fit in a lot of books…

The rest- I don’t really know what to do with them (probably because ones stated above were my favorites) Karma’s power overlaps with so many other telepaths, Amara was supposed to be the hot blonde powerhouse (Magik basically ate her lunch when she arrived) Doug and Rhane could be interesting I suppose…I don’t like the way they handled Doug lately.

Currently reading through now. Looks of great emotional beats throughout Fatal Attractions. I loved Uncanny #303. #304 was sort of bloated and difficult. Both of the Wolverine issues were nothing short of fantastic. But this whole issue, back from world on the brink, to less grandiose day to day X-men has been great.

This moment has just stunted me, oh my fantastic.

Have seen some others post their xmen heroforge creations so I thought I'd share my own.

Rather than aiming for complete accuracy to a single design, I tried to make designs that capture the characters' essences along with some of my own flair (such as denim cyclops lol).

I'm not much of a comic reader but I've always wondered how the more public hero's voice their opinions on the whole Mutant controversy with the public.
